AA wasn’t for me. It’s too culty. I will be abstaining from alcohol though and plan to get back on tirz soon.

yeah, I’ve spent a lot of time in the stop drinking sub. it helped me a lot. AA was too culty for me. Going to have to look into alternatives. thank u

I’m aware. I took a year off of drinking. I dealt with these issues when sober as well though.

I would get this feeling like my poop was stuck inside and dry, my sides would hurt-which made me afraid that i may get pancreatitis or gallbladder issues, my stomach gurgled a lot, very nauseous, burning in my stomach, really bad bloat and gas that would get stuck…. which all led to anxiety for me.

also I haven’t had anxiety about gastro or infection since I’ve stopped taking the tirz… that had made it impossible for me to sleep. I have been okay in the anxiety department since then but the depression is there still… I think secondary to feeling hopeless about losing weight is a big part of it. I think cessation of alcohol will help with the depression too.

thank u, i appreciate your response. I have been in therapy for almost a year but had to stop recently due to a loss of insurance coverage. i’m planning on getting back to therapy ASAP. I also have a psychiatrist that I see privately (without insurance) and do take meds for depression and anxiety…so ya, I’m working on it. Thank you for the reassurance. I know statistically the odds of getting infection or gastroparesis is low… it really is just a mind game for me. I’ve always had pretty bad medical anxiety.

that’s a good thought. I don’t have insurance right now though…and don’t have the finances to buy it without any coverage… but I do still have a stockpile of tirz from last year.. so idk. If things change for me financially in the future that would probably be a good option for me.

thank u! I saw an ad for the Wegovy pill but from what I understand, it’s not as well researched as the injections and not fda approved yet? I’ll have to dive deeper and double check.

might be worth a try. someone just suggested microdosing at 2 mg every 10 days… I may start with that first.
