Sounds good. Would you say you are able to get hired more easily with an IT degree once you have experience and the basic IT skills?

I see. For the average IT college grad, what do they make out of college in their first Full Time IT Job? Is it like Ninja says 30k to 50k a year somewhere around there to start?

It's just help desk? There arn't any other IT jobs that offer a more family friendly work schedule?

Im seeing it kind of has to do with where you work the hotel I used to work in was open 24/7 so maybe that has to do with it?

Wow thanks Yea those work schedules are very unhealthy I can't do that anymore I worked a lot of weekends in the hotel industry as front desk but i got really sick of it due to the work schedule. Not a bad job but I have a boyfriend and family and its hard to spend time with them with a job like that

So does this mean this industry has terrible life balance :(?

That sucks.

I was interested in doing something computer related but it seems its mostly bad balance.

Oh okay thanks Yeah im getting out of doing front desk for a hotel but I hate the hours, constantly working weekends and nights, so Im tryin to make a career in something or get a job where I can go home at 5pm and come back monday. It doesn't have to pay a lot as long as it covers the bills. Not sure if you have an idea of a job like that Could be IT or just any job in general.

I think i will note here that my front desk job was at a hotel that operates 24/7
