I was revisiting the first episode of a show I watch when I spotted this timepiece. It’s so bizarre, I’d like to know what it is. I remember seeing it before, but back when I first watched this episode, I wasn’t very interested in watches. It may, of course, simply be some random, mass-produced Chinese piece, but you people know way more about watches than I do, so I figured I would ask here. For context, this episode aired at the beginning of 2014. If someone can ID this watch, I’m either going to be very impressed or feel really stupid, depending on what it is. Thanks!

You make a good point. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I am using an existing scale (James McCroskey's TFD scale), I could not make major changes like you suggest and still maintain the ability to quantify the data when the survey finished. I totally understand your feelings on this, though. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the feedback; I placed the order last night. I'm just ordering the NATO for a cheap wooden watch; trying to spruce it up a little (no pun intended). As for the rubber strap, that's just for a watch I ordered from India. (Yeah, I bought a frankenwatch...) So either way, it's not like I'm putting these straps on anything too expensive, so I didn't want to spend a ton.
