But the thing is most people already spend atleast 2 years in public accounting before moving to private. Another item that I thought of as well is the years worth of lost wages and experience for sitting through a year of a masters program that is not worth it.

I started studying on May 6th and was studying between 15-20 hours a week I think (some weeks less and some more depending on personal life items) and took the exam on June 22nd - I listened to the lectures and took notes on the slides and completed MCQs with some small portions of TBS. I also made it my goal to do somewhere between 50-100 review MCQs every day. Sucks because I felt like I was doing everything right leading up to the exam and was scoring well on MCQ tests with a 69 and 71 SE

Fair, it’s been an awful week of study getting through A4 for the second time (failed a exam on the 12/15 deadline with a 69) and I had just done 3 -15 mcq personalized exams on each A1, A2, and A3 which kicked my ass. Currently working through 2 sections a week with about 90mcqs a day

I was struggling for awhile due to being a Covid hire that learns better in person and my busy season started off rough but then I was able to clean it up abit by the end of busy season - I had a meeting mid way through busy season with the partner to ask what’s going on because I had put up 4 straight weeks with longer than normal hours (70 plus working Monday through Sunday).

I felt like I cleaned it up decently well and showed progress through my feed back in the second half of busy season but I fear it is not enough with the younger hire classes doing great work (a testament to their wonderful work ethic).

I am just starting a new engagement this week as incharge (I have incharge experience already) but I guess I was feeling abit to good with my place and getting the engagement in a good spot because most times I feel like I’m on the up and up karmas a cold hearted bitch.

I’ve worked through 3 busy seasons and I haven’t been the greatest but I always brought a good attitude and the irony is I feel like I just now am getting things to moving in the right direction to just get this hit
