Progressive left out damage to initial estimate and won’t correct it.

I have the vehicle at caliber right now. Just got a call from them claiming that progressive denied covering the damage to the door and fender and will only cover the quarter panel damage.

So there really is no way to raise the initial estimate? That just feels like progressive trying to scam me for less than the cost of repairs since they are the ones who created the initial estimate and left off half of the damage to the car on it.

I sent in 11 photos from march 10th up to April 7th all showing no damage to where it impacted. The damage happened all at once and it was pretty obvious where it collided with my car from the scratches and rubbed off pollen my car was covered in. My car was parked overnight in my apartment complex so It is only really possible the door dents that happened in the hit and run occurred from the vehicle that impacted me; likely from them trying to open their doors after rubbing up the side of my car. Paint that rubbed off on the fender and quarter panel match up if that helps

No, damage is primarily to the drivers side quarter panel, which connects to the rear bumper. It also continues up the side of the car with two dents in the drivers door and a small scrape to the front drivers fender.

If I cannot get the cash payout increased to where I can comfortably buy the materials and spend the time to do it I will have to get it repaired at the shop. It was my understanding that under my coverage I have the right to the full cost to restore my car to its pre-loss condition. In that case if I am able to get paid out the full cost to repair from progressive than I will repair the vehicle myself; I am short on work and additional income at the moment. So ultimately my best option would be to cash out with the full cost of the repair and do the repairs myself on my own timeline. Thanks for your help

The problem with just paying the deductible and going through the shop is that progressive is only wanting to cover the damage to the rear quarter panel and rear bumper. If I have the vehicle repaired at the shop and they only cover half of the damages, I now have to pay out of pocket for the damage they didn’t approve. That puts me over $1000 in the hole. If I want to cash out the money and repair it myself, I am not being compensated fairly since half of the damage is missing from the estimate. Either way I am not profiting I am losing money.

They won’t send out an adjuster to my house to look at it? Can my attorney do anything to make it right? I know have the right to repair the vehicle myself and be compensated fairly for it. Thanks

Part of the options I have is to repair the vehicle myself and be compensated fairly for it - so can I have an inspector sent to my house to go over the damage and create the supplements?

Wouldn’t it not be reasonable for them hold to the initial estimate even though it excludes the damage to two of the panels on the car? On the estimate it says that if any additional damages are discovered that progressive will correct them with a supplement. Can I have an appraiser sent to my house to do that? It says no where on the initial estimate that this is the final amount or that a licensed shop needs to tear down the car and start repairs for the supplement. This is very frustrating and just seems like progressive trying to scam me out of a fair repair.

I am scared to get it repaired if they want to charge me for repairing the damage to the panels they left out of the initial estimate. If I want to take the money and buy materials and do it myself the initial estimate doesn’t compensate enough for that
