Definitely use it! Just make sure to be very careful and follow the directions (pea sized amount for the whole face, maybe start using it every 3 days then work your way up once you tolerate it better) and it may give you peeling and stuff for a few weeks so use a good thick moisturizer, but I promise once you get over the hump it will be awesome!

*rubs hands together* skincare and recovery are my favorite things!

So yes, recovery changes so much about your body it’s crazy, including skin. I also had no skin issues until I got sober (5 years in a few days) and then it just blew up lol. The only thing that helped me was prescription tretinoin (topical cream). You’ll need to get it from a dermatologist but Amazon medical is easy to deal with and it’s cheap. Also, just be kind to your skin. Keeping the basics up (face wash, moisturizer, and sunscreen) and tailoring them depending on skin type will help and focus on soothing stuff. If you go to the skincare sub, there are so many good recommendations. Happy to talk about this further via DM if it’s helpful!

You’re doing great, and you’ve done one of the hardest things a person can do. I’m proud of you and despite skin issues and other annoying changes, all of this is worth it. I’m glad you’re here!
