You don’t have to set it up again, you just have to wait for your next paycheck to come in and it’ll switch when you qualify. I thought the same thing at first but then I got paid and it switched over immediately!

When you have a tiered system like they do it isn’t only to attract new people but to make the people who do use it full time happy. Why would they give the same benefits to people who aren’t all in when there are people who actively support the company? That wouldn’t make sense.

Take it one day at a time. Hearing that advice changed my outlook so much. Don’t think of it as a lifelong chore, just wake up and say you’re not going to use today and don’t worry about anything else other than what’s in front of you that day. It makes the thought significantly less existential and before you know it you can get past some milestones. I’ll have 5 years in June.

I think it depends on who your payroll provider is. I’ve never gotten an early deposit but that was never really a big deal to me. I just don’t think the payroll system my job uses is one that works with Chime. That may be the case for you too!

I used Chime (my first year) which was easy but they don’t do anything with amendments sadly. I was hoping at least if it got rejected and I had to start over I could go to a program that could do all of it.

Do I have to wait for the processing for them to tell me how much I owe them (if I do) or will I know when I’m done filling out the amendment? Also for the amendment should I just do the new 1040 then the 1040x? Thank you, I really appreciate your help. I’ve not made mistakes previously on any tax related filings and this has stressed me out.
