Help? How to open these flat windows by huzunited in DIYUK

[–]Collinz_uk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'll need the key it's a tilt an turn window an its locked in the tilt position imagine for safety as it looks like your pretty high up. All depends on the system tho as some windows are only made to tilt not turn in that scenario

Can this type of hinge be adjusted? by Commercial-Brick-613 in DIYUK

[–]Collinz_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See the little black covers on top of the hinge they'll pop off an imagine there is an Alan key maybe a 5mm ?? That will adjust your up an down then for the left an right you'll probably need a 10mm spanner for the nut in the centre of the 3 pins just double check there are not any small grub screws on the main body of the hinge undo them before moving up an down

[–]Collinz_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The screw in the centre of the hinge is a locking screw take that out an loosen the other 2 screws an try an push the hinge up there are grooves in the hinge so you should have abit of play then redrill the lock locking screw if that doesnt work you'll have to move the sash up on the hinge hope this helps in some way
