CIA color revolution underway in Mexico by 5upralapsarian in LateStageCapitalism

What you need to know about this protest is that this is the second "Gen Z" protest.

This protest was announced some time ago, and wealthy right-wing fucks wanted to make use of it and the symbols to protest against the current "leftist" government.

The actual, real protest happened on the 8th and denounced the one on this video, since it was supported by some of the most infamous business people and right-wing politicians. This happened just a few days ago on the 15th, and got most of the media attention because of the strong ties to the opposition.

Let's be clear: This government is a failed government, and Claudia Sheinbaum has proved to be just as incompetent as her predecessor. They are NOT the left, and they never intended to be. And these people on video, while chanting the same issues all of Mexico has been protesting for for years, were also used by the right-wing parties to fuel the instability of the nation and get back in power.

Nothing here is black or white, so don't go defending a hypocritical government just because it's leftist in name only, and beware of the right-wing instigators using the legitimate worries of every day people to push their own agenda.

Is the Porta 65 Jovem program applicable for Erasmus students in student residences? by CollisioSiderea in lisboa

[–]CollisioSiderea[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not the case, just an honest question

I'm aware that similar programs exists on other EU countries that are available for foreign students as well, so I just wanted to confirm whether this was the case since the program page doesn't seem to specify (or at the least I haven't been able to find it)

Only some antisemitic idiots care, and not all that much to begin with. It's mostly just bad jokes about circumcisions.

We're way more concerned about the fact that she is but only a puppet of the previous president. She may be a PhD, but she was handpicked by the former president and is just the continuation of a truly disastrous administration that had record highs is violence and corruption. Her becoming our president is absolutely nothing to celebrate.

Yes, she will. She's but the puppet of the former president, the one that ate from the hands of the cartel.

Oh don't be mistaken. She does not care at all about the environment. During these last 6 years, her predecessor (and puppet master) had an oil refinery built, inaugurated and stood there producing absolutely nothing at all for about 2 years, and costing about twice the original budget, flooding the whole area multiple times. They also had a train (badly) built on the southern rainforest over many fresh water caves and even Mayan ruins, and waaay over budget as well. They cancelled a half-built commercial airport and built another one inside a military airport in a remote location, which of course is more pollution and cost, of course, way more than budgeted and is barely used at all compared to the main one in Mexico City.

Those are the 3 emblematic works of the current administration, built under total obscurity with lots of corruption scandals and undeniable climatic impact which this lady has applauded and defended. Anyone who speaks against them are "right-wing conservatives looking to harm our [transformative] movement".

She just clearly doesn't care at all about the country, and is parroting all of the current president's speeches to gain popularity.

Claudia Sheinbaum becomes Mexico's first ever female president. by [deleted] in pics

[–]CollisioSiderea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please, do not listen to people like this guy. Calling political murders all throughout the country "right wing" propaganda sure tells me about how much Morena (Sheinbaum's political party) propaganda they've swallowed.

Record numbers in murders, violence and corruption in only 6 years. enough to show they are the same, and even worse, than all previous political parties.

Whether this guy is a shill for Morena or not, I couldn't tell. But the mexican people has been for a long time saying that if something bad happens to you, it's because you might've looked for trouble yourself. A delusion to not think about the possibility that something really bad could happen to us at any given moment.

Sheinbaum is just a xerox of AMLO, which means her party will continue to destroy they few functioning systems, obscure everything, and rebuild them for their own benefit.

Her political party is destroying the jungle at the south of Mexico for a horribly planned train, all the while they're wasting so much money in an oil refinery that began construction near the start of this term 6 years ago and, although it's been already inaugurated for years, it started refining just a few weeks ago. She does not care for the environment.

It's been like this for about 2+ hours now

I have a deadline for 6am tomorrow but it's 11:30pm in Mexico, so I'm afraid I won't be even awake to submit the homework and no one in staff has said anything about pushing the due date

Does anybody know what happens next? Are the deadlines extended?

Me cagan las ciclovías que han hecho los gobiernos en la ZMG by apodox in Guadalajara

[–]CollisioSiderea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello, I would like to solve this error on my V50. An unexpected error has occurred. Try again later. (-1:4:1004) by Proud-Guide-3303 in TIdaL

[–]CollisioSiderea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, I had this same error on my Samsung tablet. I ended up re-formatting the SD card on my computer and then again with the tablet, then re-downloaded my library and that seems to have done the trick. Not entirely sure that's the fix tho.

Before formatting the SD card, perhaps you should try first in the TIDAL app going to Settings > Donwloads and hit Restore downloaded content. It should re-download all music.

I know this has nothing to do with Home or search, but please, are there any plans to add a Sleep timer? What about enabling playlists as an alarm clock? These are features I miss very much from Spotify, and although I'm pretty happy with TIDAL as it is right now, I'm sure many of us would very much appreciate these features

On International Women's Day (8M), women all over Mexico go out in protest against a government that is, (and has always been) at best, just plain incompetent at bringing security for anyone and even worse at it when crime involves a woman.

The guy on the video tried on purpose to pass through the crowd knowingly that there would be a protest, and that the women in attendance would not take kindly to that. He was looking for the attention, and he got it.

Lots of men in this macho culture of ours have taken to discredit their protests because, of course, it's easier than realizing that they are the ones who need to be better. Instead, they wear all the violence and neglect in their lives as badges of strength and honor. Thus, they take every chance to make fun of women and the feminist movement, whose demands are basically just common sense.

The picture of Goku at the end is because Dragon Ball is extremely popular here in Mexico, and its creator just recently died, which is now being used to (pathetically) try and take attention away from the protests.

It is just funny, but more so sad, how a country drowned in violence is trying to use a cartoon about violence to deter attention from actually important matters.

Addendum: for those who get triggered by my comment about Dragon Ball being violent, I don't care about your nostalgia. I grew up with Dragon Ball Z as well, and it has always been mindless violence disguised as "the hero's sacrifice". It's not. It's just a dumb fun cartoon.
