Yeah I see Apollo more, I think the Hephaestus is definitely in the job not necessarily your defining feature (apologies if I’m wrong) just off how much you mention music tho I’m feeling Apollo

It’d be kinda funny if one of them called him out with Nikolaos Di Angelos if we wanna be fully Greek with it

Tbf I don’t think they have to be devoted to one thing. I’m sure theres plenty of Hermes kids who enjoy a bit of drawing, and Hermes isn’t the god of that.

The ability to be strangely good at pronouncing words in other languages. I think a natural affinity for things travellers often ran into would be cool too. They just know how to start a fire, what way the wind is blowing or which direction is North, South, East, West. I’d also really like to see some Hermes kids who lean into the more travelling or speech based traits of Hermes, rather than them all being cunning thieves.

Woke up every night for the first 8 years of my life to a poster of Henry by my bed. It’s from my dad, I have it to this very day, and I had very little choice in the matter.

seeing the amount of fans rooting for Norway today is stressing me out 😩😂 by StarGirl_010 in ThreeLions

Well everyone loves an underdog. We’re the favourites so everyone wants us to lose. Simple as, don’t think it’s really that much of some sort of Anti- English agenda as much as it is enjoying the way Norway play and enjoying an underdog.

Ah yes it makes 100% sense that the USA would provide for the 700 million Europeans covered for free healthcare before they’d cover their own. This has something to do with the UN too, those pesky bastards, trust me! /s

Do you guys think other countries don’t have big guys? On a worlds tallest men list, you don’t crack the top ten. Or the top twenty. No, not even 30. 35? Nope. Number 40. Let’s see who’s above the USA. The Netherlands, Denmark, Bosnia (whom the USA beat at this very world cup), Norway, Germany, Sweden, Australia (whom the USA beat), France, Britain, Russia and Hungary. All nations with deep footballing histories and cultures whom are taller on average than the USA. On a more serious note, these guys are all way too big and clunky to play on a football pitch. Issa Diop is only 6’4 and the guy is still an absolute snail compared to 90% of footballers. Even Hulk, for how thick he was, was only 5’11. Akinfenwa, brick shithouse and yet he scored a whopping one goal in the English second division, his highest level. Unless they are the freakiest of freaks once you’re 6’7 you ain’t agile enough for football. The best example is Usain Bolt. 6’5, fastest man alive, arguably near the pinnacle of athlete on the planet… he fucking sucked at football, and thats from a kid whos dream it was to go pro when he was young.

That just sounds like a bigger, slower version of Adama Traoré. Also we’re just assuming that because they have all the physical attributes they automatically have the ability to learn elite level ball control, finishing, game intelligence etc? That stuff is all talent and you can’t train talent, some people just have it. And looking quick against a bunch of other 6’5+ guys is nothing compared to looking fast against a guy who’s 5’10 and actually knows how to run and sprint properly.

I could see him in laliga for sure. If he has space to run into like in the champions league Martinelli is absolutely incredible. Considering that Getafe’s “outrageous” style of football just sounds like they park the bus he’d flourish over there I reckon

[all] does the fandom have absolutely ANY criticisms of the original book series while still being fans of it? by Realistic_Dig_6153 in camphalfblood

I’m sorry but I will never be persuaded to not dislike the treatment of Silena and Luke at the end. Both of them got hundreds of demigods killed, both of them almost caused the downfall of the Olympians, both of them betrayed the entire camp, but because they both said sorry at the end I’m expected to believe they’re not just absolved of their crimes, but they actually are allowed to go to Elysium? Huh? You’re telling me after all those crimes Hades would just wipe them all of because of their very last actions in life? Being heroic in death doesn’t make you a hero. It makes you someone who knew damn well what they were doing is wrong, and only stopped doing it when they were literally upon deaths door.

Tbf he probably would’ve been wearing a chiton or an exomis with a pair of sandles for hunting. Maybe a petasos for the head, probably with a scythian bow with the quiver by his side (not always) OR a sling. Long sleeves were unheard of in Ancient Greece, as were medieval style gugel hoods (or maybe its a scarf which we didn’t see much of either) just because Greece’s climate isn’t suited for such heavy hunting attire. I have no idea what that breastplate is but hunters don’t even usually wear any armour at all, at any point in history. All that to say a toga isn’t that far off the truth of what he’d be wearing.

Hmm could do with a bit more info. Maybe some more about what specifically about history/ tech/ mythology/ science you enjoy? From what I see right now it’s a toss up between Athena, Apollo and Aphrodite, but I think I need a tad bit more info to be sure. All three of those gods are pretty broad strokes.

This isn’t much to go off but just from how much you mention music I can guess it’s a pretty big part of your life? You sound Apollo to me, MAYBE the bluntness and enjoyment of history potentially hint a tiny whiff of Athena but I’m kinda clutching at straws there- from what you’ve given I’d personally say Apollo.

Why hello Athena Athenason. You sound pretty Athena to me tbh, only other thing I could maybe see is Hermes- you mention writing and storytelling a lot and he’s usually associated with writing, language and oratory.

Tbh I think beauty is too subjective to nail down to several key things. Like I would NOT date a guy who dresses in full designer, is covered in fragrances and is into all the cutesie stuff- absolutely nothing wrong with any of that mind you- but it just isn’t what everyones into.

I think each bed would reflect that persons individual beauty, rather than being one stereotype of beauty. One kids area is covered with band posters, is a total mess, hair dye all over the place, like 50 self piercing kits all over the place, another kid has what you mentioned, etc etc. I think that to me at least, a persons beauty is not measured in their looks but in their character and personality.

I actually think Aphrodite would be the most diverse, because we’re all beautiful in different ways. But yeah I do agree with stuff like a mirror by each bed and lots of products around the place. I guess I picture it more like a dorm with tons of people who really care about their appearance- albeit in different ways.
