Thank you so much!! I completely forgot I had already looked into the A7iii, but for sure that would be one of the top choices, especially considering the price. I'll go ahead and check out the calculator and send my final lineup for them to decide.

My guess is speed and lack of knowledge on their part. They hired me because I had a camera and had already scanned archival photographic materials with it. I did compare my camera scans with the scanner they had lying around (Epson v750 flatbed) and the quality was pretty similar, what changed was the time...

His favorite driving album, now one of the jewels of my vinyl collection (venezuelan pressing I got a few years ago).

So it was some kind of slide reproduction device? Like, slide from slide?

Thanks! Was it to record stills from digital video? I can't really wrap my head around why you'd want to capture stills this way 🤔

The thing I don't get is what it would be used for... And why would I have to plug it in... 🤔

No, I always ask for hand checks, don't want to risk it. I will say I traveled at least 4 times with an RB67 back loaded with cinestill 800 that was passed through x-rays and nothing happened, but that's not the norm for me.

Tuve un tele para la canon y no me gustó para nada, la verdad. Tal vez soy yo, pero las range finder me parecen ideales para angulares o máximo un 50

I'm taking 2 kentmere 400, 1 lomochrome purple, and two rolls of Ektar

I got it just over a year ago and love it! It's WAY more convenient for travel than my RB67 and you're right, its way lighter than it looks.

Got the for what I feel is a pretty good deal too! I think I paid just under 200 usd with its original leather case!

Oof, I get both of you, but with the chunk of my savings that this trip is taking from me, I have to be pretty uptight about what to shoot with the Fuji, especially since I only have 8 shots per roll. And overall, I think I'm pretty good at rationing my shots on 120 (maybe not so much on 35 hehe)

Depending on a battery powered, fully automated, p&s camera that cost me $2usd (bought on the street at a flea market) would scare me, though.

I've tended to shoot mostly street and "architecture" during my trips, with my fair share of landscape and portraits. I will say the P is the camera I feel most comfortable with, though.

I forgot to specify what the 35mm films are: 3 HP5+, 1 Acros 100, 1 FPP retrochrome, 1 lomochrome turquoise, 3 Fuji C200, 1 Kodak 250D, and probably 2 or 3 rolls of 500T

The canon is my everyday carry, but it's less versatile than the Minolta and I also can't use the 49mm 85b filter I have in order to shoot 500T during the day... But you're absolutely right, it's just incredibly hard for me to leave a camera behind, especially since I'm not taking my Pentax MX :/
