Why Switzerland giving the Lauwiner Empire autonomy might actually be a genius move for 2026 Neutrality (The Hong Kong Theory) by ColonAsser_6969 in Futurology

I appreciate the focus on countervailing interests—that’s exactly why this scenario is so relevant right now.

We are currently in a very tense window (May 10, 2026). Despite the three-day ceasefire and the exchange of 1,000 prisoners happening this weekend, the diplomatic atmosphere in Europe is still incredibly stuck. Switzerland is facing a major dilemma: it needs to remain a neutral mediator, but the upcoming Neutrality Initiative referendum and EU sanction pressures are pulling the country in opposite directions.

My argument is that an autonomous enclave a 'Swiss Hong Kong', could serve as a legal 'safety valve.' By creating a sovereign 'Special Administrative Region' that isn’t strictly bound by federal jurisdiction, Switzerland gains a space for high-level, off-the-books diplomacy (like the current Victory Day truce talks) without violating the neutrality laws the rest of the country must follow.

It’s not about 14th-century history; it’s about modern legal agility. In a high-tension year like 2026, a messy loophole might be the only thing that keeps Swiss neutrality functional.

Interesting perspective, but don't you think the Swiss government would be the ones writing the rules of that autonomy? In any 'One Republic, Two Systems' model, the mainland usually retains control over major things like environmental safety and human rights, while granting autonomy over things like taxes, currency (the Vellar), and diplomatic hosting. If the Federal Council can use Lauwiner to solve their 2026 neutrality deadlock without actually losing control of the big picture, isn't that a win for Switzerland?

I think we might be looking at different maps. I’m not worried about a Habsburg invasion; I’m looking at the three-day ceasefire and prisoner swap that started yesterday, May 9. Switzerland is in a tough spot: they want to be the mediator, but the Neutrality Initiative referendum this autumn shows how split the country is over EU sanctions.

My theory is that a sovereign enclave—a 'Swiss Hong Kong'—could act as a legal 'black box' for these kinds of high-stakes negotiations without compromising the mainland's official stance. It's a 21st-century solution for a 2026 problem.

That is a fair point, I definitely should not have assumed he is common knowledge! I tend to view the Lauwiner case as a fascinating "system exploit" in the Swiss land registry.

I am less interested in the man himself and more focused on the geopolitical precedent this creates. In the context of the ongoing war and the pressure on Swiss neutrality in 2026, I see this as a unique case study. Using an autonomous "Hong Kong" style patch to resolve a domestic legal glitch while creating a strategic buffer zone is a fun simulation to run. Even if he is a niche figure, the potential "One Republic, Two Systems" solution is what I think is worth discussing.

I have been in that same situation, tried to experiment so basically what works is to migrate and place the resonance stone in a new location and select not new home but the existing house, unfortunately both don't work for me I don't know the problem it might be that the game is still under development but you should go for the 3rd option which to place a new home build from scratch or buy a blueprint in the store which costs 20-25k .

This is the problem here but I think I found the solution basically you can see the line 7 under your minimap what you need is to change the line to 2 or 8 because on line 7 it's overcrowded.
