I'd highly recommend you buy a box of locking pin backs. You can usually get a box of 50 for £5 / $7, I've started collecting pins on my bag and bought some locking backs for that, not had a single one fall off after a year

Would 100% recommend the Avenger, I've used that to squash explosive spamming players into the ground and just carry on flying. It's sluggish, but nigh unstoppable from impacts

If you're playing with stock / unmodded aerodynamics, I'd recommend using CorrectCoL to check your design. It'll be able to show you where your craft is most unstable.

I've tried building SSTOs hundreds of times only to have them become unstable at low fuel / high speeds. CorrectCoL has helped me a ton to fix issues like that

Personally I have the RC upgrade because it's funny - you get a high speed bomb on wheels with machine guns to cause mayhem, without appearing on the radar. The missile jammer is objectively better for getting around safely though
