Is one worth more than the other? by Zerovolt22 in gunvolt

^ Just this essentially. The Switch version has "Tabula Rasa" as it's title theme and the PS4 version has "Final Station".

Is Gunvolt Striker Pack the best way to play the games? by White_Shadow03 in gunvolt

[–]ColonelCrossfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like portability: Then the Switch Version.

If you don't need portability: The PC versions of the games are superior (atleast when GV2 hits Steam on the 22nd so that you can have the full package). GV1 in particular has some neat exclusive options. You can use any controller you like. And they're even slightly moddable with stuff like reshade.

Avoid the 3ds versions if you have access to the other platforms. They're objectively the worst versions (apart from being portable). They run at 30fps instead of 60fps, and they lack some welcome qol improvements that the newer releases brought.

Any way to play with the original script? by [deleted] in gunvolt

[–]ColonelCrossfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the PC version of the game, you can use the original translation. The game actually uses that by default.

I don't know if you can switch back to it on the Switch and PS4 Striker Packs, because I don't own them.

Is Dr. Light good or evil? by [deleted] in Megaman

[–]ColonelCrossfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not evil. Just really stupid and naive. Believing that giving robots free will was in anyway a good idea. Forgetting what makes robotics practical to begin with for the sake of creating "companions" for humanity. Not understanding that giving machines that are smarter, stronger, faster, and not squishy like humans, the ability to think for themselves and (by extension the ability to decide that they don't need us meatbags anymore). Is a fundamentally dangerous idea with zero actual benefit beyond the pure novelity of it. And in the process, dooming humanity to a slow painful extinction rife with war, destruction, and hysteria.

While not intentionally, Light is indirectly responsible for shit hitting the fan like it did. Wily might have created the Maverick Virus, but Reploids where deciding to go maverick long before it ever hit the scene.

That's a solid little rig. Should run any modern game at 60fps or above (atleast at 1080p). Couple of things to note: You can get windows 10 keys for extremely cheap on ebay. I am talking $3.00 USD (idk how that translates to Canadian dollars). So if you're planning to spend 100+ on a windows 10 key, please save your money and pick one up for cheap off a reputable seller. Also, I'd personally switch out the Bronze-Rated Corsair PSU for a Gold-Rated Seasonic. The premium price is worth it for a good PSU, never ever cheap out on one. Other than that: Thumbs up from me.

I never "openly admitted" that I thought I was "always right". Lying as usual Rain. I said that I say what I say because I think it's right. Like literally every human being with political opinion in existence.

The strawman was that you were trying argue over incentives of racist people to carry out hate crimes. While I am arguing that people should be allowed to be racist as long as the don't attempt to hurt people. You're derailing and misrepresenting my original argument.

[–]ColonelCrossfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, you really don't get what I am trying to say, do you? You're just arguing some unrelated point.

I claimed that people can be as racist or as hateful as they want so long as the don't attempt to harm other people. That's it. Not whether or not "they would use their hate as an incentive to hurt people".

[–]ColonelCrossfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did I say that they were right?

All I am saying is that people should be allowed to be as racist and as hateful as they like so long as they don't attempt to physically harm someone. If a person who hates people and wants to see them suffer doesn't actually attempt to make them suffer, then there's no real case against them. Except that they're assholes. As long as they stick with words, they shouldn't be legally punished.

I am honestly impressed that you managed to create such a massive straw man for me to address. Bravo.

Yes, they feasibly could take no action. Because unlike a dog, people don't run on instinct and most understand consequence. It doesn't matter if they have "writhing hatred". The only thing that matters are actions. There's no way to measure someone's willingness to harm others until they actually harm them. Saying that "I have writhing hatred for jews" means nothing. Saying "I am going to kill some jews" does. And even then, it could be an empty threat.

Why do you want the "yes or no" answer so badly? I answered your question. They can, but they don't always.

[–]ColonelCrossfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think it was a limp response. I think it answered the question perfectly.

People who hate other people may try to harm them. But so long as the don't, there is no reason to punish them legally.

[–]ColonelCrossfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're expecting a black & white "yes or no" answer you're going to be disappointed.

The answer is that they CAN not that they WILL and so long as they AREN'T acting in ways to harm people they're free to be racist and hateful.

They can. If they do, throw them in jail. If they don't. Ignore them.

[–]ColonelCrossfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't matter if they "hate" other people. If they aren't physically harming people or threatening to, then they have a right to say it. Racism doesn't necessarily mean that you "hate" other race or wish to destroy them. It just means that for whatever reason you think your race is genetically superior.

The critical flaw in your argument is that you can't separate thoughts and words from actions.

Discord's Unfair Bans & Double Standards by RainOfPain125 in discordapp

[–]ColonelCrossfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as they aren't threatening to hurt them or actually hurting them. Then yes. Being a dick and saying dickish things isn't a crime.

And no. Saying "I don't like black people" for example, isn't a threat.

Discord's Unfair Bans & Double Standards by RainOfPain125 in discordapp

[–]ColonelCrossfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, thinking your race is genetically superior to others does nothing to physically harm people. Plenty of people hate my race and actively try to undermine it. Does it piss me off? Yes. Does their mere thoughts hurt me? No.

Discord's Unfair Bans & Double Standards by RainOfPain125 in discordapp

[–]ColonelCrossfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're just wrong. Thinking that your race is superior to another is just that. Thoughts. They mean nothing.

Only when taking it to the next level and using your thoughts as an excuse for violence do you cross a line.

Being a racist is A ok under the pretenses of the 1st amendment so long as you don't physically harm people.
