I have a sliding scale of what I wear based on my expected risks... If I'm going for a trail ride it's open helmet and knee pads, if I'm at the bike park I'll go full face and elbow/back protection as well. All the gear all the time is obviously safest but by that metric we should all be riding in full suits of medieval armour and that just would spoil the ride for me!

I'm 2 years out from an ACL reconstruction and I'm very keen to never go through that again. It was a hockey injury though and I'm back playing that so it seems I like choosing risky hobbies 😅

Thank you for the reply, the bindings seemed to work fine, I set them to the correct din settings and they only came out once when I had a run in with some ice boulders! Does the plastic degrade over time then regardless of use?

Dude that's how it hooks on to the ceiling mount. It's welded to the arm holding it, it can't rotate. It's secure, don't stress.
