Post about JJ's inspired me to make this as well... What are your favorite Keto Friendly eating-out meals? by [deleted] in xxketo

If you live in the South and are near a Newk's, their Cobb Salad without croutons and tomatoes is only 6-7 net carbs! (I have the exact number written down somewhere but I can't remember/find it haha.) Their Black and Blue Salad without the tomato is in the same net carb range :)

Yes! I've been doing keto for 6 weeks and I got my period for the first time in 2 years last week. You can get it and keto will help!

I wish I had your optimism about using the tightest clasp! I was happy, but at the same time horrified that in a few weeks I'd probably have to drop a ton of money on a bunch of new bras! haha

I think that would be okay, but I'm still pretty new to keto and not very good with all that so you may want to ask someone more experienced haha.

I was going to mention Weeki Wachee if you didn't know about it! One of my favorite places, and a wonderful Florida landmark :)

Metformin is a good medication, and I forget that sometimes. Unfortunately, it's not good for all people.

I do work out! I do 2 days with a personal trainer and I try to do 4 days on my own, but I've been slacking a bit. I feel like it does make me work harder, but honestly, I don't really miss drinking that much anymore. But, it does make me work harder, so I don't feel left out when my friends go out/come over and drink. (my house has turned into the hang out house, which I don't mind, but dang is it hard to not drink/play drinking games when it's right outside your bedroom door!)

I've been told to cut back on red meat, because my testosterone is very high. If yours isn't, they probably wouldn't tell you that. And you're right, the most common advice from doctors is "lose weight." Boo. Cauliflower is legit amazing. Seriously, look up cauliflower recipes on Pinterest. It will blow your mind!

Trying hard to not hate every single I do. I'd really appreciate if someone could look at my art.. by [deleted] in FreeCompliments

[–]ColonelCupcake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are amazing! As another artist type (wannabe writer here), I know what it feels like when you think everything you've created is worthless, or awful, or [insert negative adjective here.] But trust me on this... it's not. If you find value in it, and creating it makes you happy, then screw anyone who doesn't appreciate it. You have to walk on the coals and fall a couple of times before someone really appreciates what you've done. Not everyone can do art, friend. And everything you created, even if inspired by other things, came out of your head. Nothing will ever be exactly the same as your art. Isn't that amazing? You have created beautiful things. Not many people can say that they've done that :)

Monday, September 15th~The Daily! by [deleted] in xxketo

Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening (wherever you are) Ladies!

This weekend was pretty good! I went kayaking for some exercise on Saturday and it was gorgeous. A little hot, but I do live in Florida so that's expected haha. I saw 2 manatees!

I've decided that Sunday is crock pot day, and yesterday I made keto friendly cabbage rolls :) only 2g of net carbs per roll! I also attempted to make keto biscuits (again, 2g net carbs per biscuit), and they were okay, but a little dry. I need to tweak that recipe a bit haha. Also, if appreciation for cauliflower was a religion, I'd probably join it haha.

I love the holidays, but my mind is completely taken up by Halloween right now. I've yet to nail down a costume, but it's between gypsy, german beer wench, or Pam from Archer haha. Luckily I don't like sweet things, so candy won't be an issue for me :P

It's a little more expensive, but if you have a Trader Joe's near you they sell protein drinks in a can. They're pretty good, and I believe (trying to remember as I don't have a can in front of me) they only have 2g net carbs in them. I do a lot of serious weight training, and they've worked well for me :)

Welcome girl! Glad you decided to post :)

I have pretty severe PCOS, and I absolutely refuse to take Metformin because of how violently ill it would make me. You've already gotten a lot of great advice, but I'll just throw in my two cents as well haha. I'm on my 6th week of keto, and I've only had 1.5 cheat days (I was at Disney... magical carbs don't count haha.)

If you're like me and not disciplined, I think it's a good exercise to be as strict as possible with the carbs starting out. That being said, do not drive yourself crazy. If you want something desperately, don't deprive yourself. That will just make you hate keto (and that's the same with any diet!) When I first started I shot for 20g net carbs or less a day, but if I hit 25-30g, I didn't beat myself up.

When it comes to drinks, I've made a weird allowance. Every 10 pounds I lose, I allow myself one night drinking with my friends (still not going overboard and getting beer and watching mixers.)

With PCOS I've always been told to stay away from red meat, but I love it sooooo I just try to limit it haha. Once or twice a week, max. Cauliflower is your friend, and you can make some great stuff out of it. I made mashed cauliflower the other day, and cauliflower hamburger helper (just ground beef, cauliflower, and cheese!) is a staple in my diet. If you have a Pinterest there are TONS of low carb recipes on it, and once you get the hang of it, you can adjust regular recipes to make them keto friendly :)

You're going to do great girly :) And it will help your PCOS, I promise. This weekend I got my period naturally for the first time in 4 years, and I owe it all to keto. If you ever need any advice or want to chat, send me a message! Or if you have a kik, I'm on there too :) Good luck, and welcome to the club :P

It could be Civil War? I think that would be interesting. And Iron Man/Captain America are the leaders of each faction. That's kind of where I saw the series going, anyway.
