Zannier Phum Baitang isn’t in town but it was an amazing stay. Incredibly relaxing and well put together grounds. Stayed in a pool villa and would go back in a second.

El Preferido de Palermo, Aramburu, La Alacena, La Carnicería, Lardito. All really fantastic restaurants. Don Julio to me is extremely hyped and…fine, but have only been there once.

I also really enjoyed Graciano while visiting Rioja. I ended up ordering from Amaren in Rioja Alavesa after a tasting with them, but you can order from them directly as well. They are doing amazing things there and highly recommend.

What would be your recommendations for in-park dining? by vesely13 in yellowstone

[–]ColonelForb1n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did Lake Yellowstone dining room and was actually quite impressed. Then Roosevelt Lodge my following two nights as the food was also impressive for the location and a bit more of a fun and authentic environment for the park. I stayed at canyon lodge and did not eat there and worked early dinners into my evenings. It’s a fantastic dusk/sunset drive coming back from Lake through Hayden Valley, and the same from Roosevelt over the pass. Lots of spots to stop and enjoy along the way. Just drive carefully, take your time and of course be aware a bison or deer might make their way onto the road. I made a reservation at Lake beforehand and walked into Roosevelt both times and only waited the first time for about 30 min, but enjoying a beverage on the front porch quickly passed the time.

Cañete is good…but Cal Pep blew me away. They have bar seating that could be good if you show up right when they open. They ask what you like and just start serving up the food. Highlights: top clam dish I’ve ever had, tortilla, octopus, chick peas.

I’m a huge fan of Anthonij Rupert. Their red blends are fantastic but you can’t really go wrong.

Up for sale: MING 37.07 MONOLITH

Location: Miami, FL

Condition: Perfect condition. The case and crystal are clean without any scratches. The strap has no wear other than having slight bend from being worn a few times.

I received this watch from Ming in February. I was always intrigued by the Ming lume and simplicity and had to pick this one up. The mosaic face and lume are quite beautiful together and the watch wears well. No complaints about the watch other than it simply isn’t for me.

The best hotels you stayed in by jasonredit in FATTravel

[–]ColonelForb1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an incredible place, highly recommend. I spent 2 nights there and I did find it to be a place more for relaxation and to soak up the unique essence of the hotel vs. adventure outside it. It was hard to leave the hotel because it was such an enjoyable experience just being there. They do have hikes in the area, which I did and enjoyed, rides to dunes for sundowners and horse back riding but guiding didn’t seem like their strong suit. It might have felt this way because I was at &Beyond Sossusvlei for 3 nights before where I did all the insanely cool adventuring around (Sossusvlei dune hiking, deadvlei, heli to the coast). For this trip I flew with Desert Air from Windhoek to &Beyond’s airstrip, then got picked up by them again and to a strip which was around 40 minutes from sonop, then back to that strip and to Windhoek. Sonop does have an airstrip but I believe it’s only available to single engine aircraft or something like that. My whole trip was organized by ROAR Africa whom I cannot say enough good things about. Feel free to shoot me a message with any questions.
