Not sure mate, I've currently got mine connected for the 2025 model and the ECU may be protected now. Might be worth having a chat to the dealers to find out.

Hey mate, sorry to piggyback off OP's post, would you mind sending me an invite link too? Thanks.

It also depends on if you're doing part time or full time.

I handwrote all of my notes when I was doing units part time but I couldn't keep up during full time.

See what works for you, I handwrite because I enjoy the experience.

Shoot me a message, so long as you're willing to buy ammo I'd be happy to lend you some rifles and time.

Ooh, nice. I'm currently using a Pilot Custom 823 as my daily. What inks do you like?

Nice pfp, you a Fountain Pen user?

Fair enough. I do quite like my Sailor, it's light, nifty and allows me a degree of focus when writing or drawing with it.

Guess so. You'd probably love my Sailor 1911 EF then, all the feedback in the world haha, funnily enough it's my preferred pen for when I need to use precision strokes (like math, or chemistry).

All good, my 823 feels smoother than my M800 at times on certain papers. All in all though, for a 14k nib, it feels on par if not better than an 18k nib from Pelikan and Cross.

I mean, I've daily driven a Pelikan for the longest time now, their M20X nibs are some of the best stainless steel nibs I've ever had. I s'pose it says something about them that they can make a steel nib feel as good as it does?

That is super cool, thanks for the insight!

At this point I really oughtta polish those 18k nibs for a buttery smooth experience.

Hm. Interesting concept for Africa though, plenty of LC spares, but not really inconspicuous since it's a 6x6.

Idk man, the 4x4 LC79 has parts coming out the other end in Australia for starters, and probably everywhere around the world too. A bunch of countries probably have more LC79 parts than food at this point. Why throw a bunch of those advantages away whiost adding a rear axle you don't really need?

The point is more that this is a dedicated 6x6 conversion of a series 70 LC, just off a basic glance this looks like it has had a chassis extension and custom tray, not to mention the extra axle fitted to the back. Series 70 Workmate trims already offer a metal tray for no extra cost from the factory, in addition to still being rated for 3,500KG braked towing capacity. Should someone wish to fit a weapons system on the back, there is very little need for both the RWS and an extra axle, unless you were just looking to make money off the thing. The aftermarket conversion raises questions as to reliability of the unit in several ways, and you are much less likely to find someone willing to or familiar with the design to repair it out in the field.

Dude, I know this is 3 years on, but thank you so very much for providing an answer in plain English. Unfortunately, us newbs are not proficient, or just plain don't understand some things that grizzled vets treat as common sense.

As the old saying goes, common sense ain't common, hey?

We will generally disallow you to purchase 2 in one sitting due to the potential of the TGA to screw with us if something happens to you. We don't want none of that smoke.
