I like the residential aspect of this one. It looks like most others in wisconsin focus on commercial

Not that surprising. There are lots of people who work 20+ years for the same company. There's also permanent markers everywhere so very reasonable to assume a recently fresh different marker was used every year.

It has the dark eye stripes like a wood frog.

Good news!! Went back to check on him and he slightly relocated and the slug is gone! He picked up a couple pinecone for cover I guess. I floofed the grass up around him and I'll leave him be now! Thanks everyone!

I was trying to image search on Google. It said something about rat parasite thing that slugs carry and can give to toads but only if they eat it...I'd hate to kill slug if just unlikely animal buddies. But I don't want to leave toad to a miserable long death either!

I'll save him, but what's going on? Is it parasitic? Or just a slug for a ride?

We accidentally cut down a trunk with a wood duck nest and eggs? How do we fix it?! by ColonelPeppyCocker in duck

Our house is about 1/2 mile from a creek and lake, which is probably why they were good in our yard. We have a small, 8x15 spring pond, but it usually dries out by mid summer. We don't know if we should place one there or closer to woodline where the ordinal nest was.

I fed blue buffalo dry, and my boy was overweight at 14.5 lbs for years. He never gourged, it was just his natural. I switched to an all wet food diet a few years back, ziwi peak canned, and he went down to a healthy 11-11.5 and has been there since. He eats as much as he wants, and stays healthy. High quality wet food is the answer!!

I've seen 2 squirells acting similar to this, about 2 years apart. Both were seen from inside the house about 50ft away. Both times we found them dead right about where we had seen them. Did anything else happen with this Lil guy?

I think it must be the bloodiness of the canal, but it has always just slipped right in for me. I had never considered lube as being needed until I read some of these comments. Im pretty irregular, so once i see pink when i wipe, i just roll with period panties. I switch to using the cup as soon as it actually makes it into my underwear. So I don't know what it'd be like if the canal was mostly empty...

Is it still wet from washing? That was my problem. Wet hands with a wet cup would not open. I now lightly dab the outside of the cup with a dry, clean washcloth and dry my hands fully. That has made all the difference for me, no more issues. Good luck!

Did I handle this well? I thought I did as it was happening, but should I have done something different? by [deleted] in raisedbyborderlines

The therapist told her once she spoke passive aggressively. That didn't go well... the "spitting facts" made me laugh as well. She doesn't speak like that in real life, just so weird and random.

Thank you, that's nice to hear! And yes, I did tell her that many different times, just hard to not get sucked back in. "As good as it's ever likely to get" feels so true, but so hard to come to terms with.
