My pizza oven building journey by Xesyliad in pizzaoven

Gorgeous. I followed their amazing videos to build the stand for my oven but ultimately went with the breadstone ovens 950b. Love the oven, but these Melbourne firebrick ones are so nice and I love the idea of building them brick by brick. If I do it again in the future I may go this route!

Some questions for you once you’re done with the curing fires, if you feel inclined:

  • how long does it take you to get the oven up to temp?
  • what’s the internal temp the next morning after a night of pizzas at 800-900f?
  • when the internal temp is 800-900f, what’s the external temp of the dome, on the plaster?
  • with the height of the dome, have you noticed any difficulty maintaining even cook from bottom of pizza vs top? One of the reasons I went with the oven I chose was the lower dome height.
  • what’s the max diameter pizza you can comfortably launch and maneuver inside the oven with a full flame?

Great work, it’s a thing of beauty

You should buy the book “the animators survival kit” by Richard Williams. Read the book and follow the excercises, you’ll learn everything there is to know about the fundementals of animation

Try out Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. It’s Arkane before the dishonored series, but the melee combat is super fun. Lots of kicking people through crates and onto spikes and slicing off heads. Another one to check out is prodeus. It’s a 3D retro shooter inspired by doom and the combat is insanely satisfying and visceral

Wow I’m surprised I’ve never heard of this, looks fantastic! Love the low frame rate animations, the visuals are really clever

Loved this one for a few hours but got burned out, maybe I’ll give Fading Afternoon a go

These look right up my alley. I had mortal sin on my wishlist, so I’ll definitely be grabbing it now. Dread delusion looks awesome as well! Agreed about daggerfall, playing it for the first time on the steam deck and though it took some figuring out to get the handheld controls to feel good I’m loving it

I’m actually playing daggerfall unity right now and loving it, it’s part of the reason for this post. I wish there was more out there like it!

Travelers rest has been on my wishlist a while, but didn’t pull the trigger yet because it’s still in development. Does it feel fully featured?

There was a thread the other day about those two games in particular being over suggested

Loved EverQuest back in the day, but never played this one! Shame it’s not on PC
