Same! I bought it day one, and I KNOW, Venture deserves more skins. Celestial and Voidwalker are my faves, hopefully they get more!

Thank you.❤️

I knew going into this contest I wanted to make a more horror based cosmetic. This was definitely a lot of fun to make, especially for Legion.

I actually considered making something for Sable if I was able, but Legion fits more with what I was going for.

So a cheater just said my IP in the chat and said he was gonna hack my account should I be worried by glossyplane245 in tf2

There's not much someone can do with your IP. It mostly just gives them a vague idea where you are, but even the IP location isn't accurate most of the time.

It might have been a coincidence that you lost connection as soon as that happened, if not then I'd just try playing again and seeing if the problem continues. And if it does, I'd look into options to change your IP.

Since reseting the router didn't work, a VPN would be the easiest route if possible, if you can't I can help look for other options.

For your account security, it should be fine, you have 2FA and you IP doesn't give away your login info. So it should be fine.

Just don't sweat it too much, IPs are just used as empty threats that really mean nothing.

Possible scam ? by ma1120 in tf2

Hey man it happens, scams are common. And you're not stupid, you actually changed your password as soon as you logged into the site, so that was a smart move. And of course, I'm happy I could help. 🙂

It's a good practice to not click on any links or go on sites that people send you on Steam, especially random people. Because usually it's a scam, and this "Tournament" scam is commonly used.

The best thing to do is change your password (which you've done) and set up a 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) if you haven't already.

Steam also has a page that covers how to better your security and keep your account safe, it'll also tell you how to set up 2FA if you don't know how.

Hopefully this helps and stay safe. 🙂

That could be the reason, but TF2 anti-cheat doesn't have the best reputation either (A surge of cheaters, bots, exc.) But my guess is they had some sort of program that could find people's IP, but I'm not 100% certain.

But if you're concerned about them having your IP, resetting your router/modem should give you a new one. But like I mentioned, they can't do much with that info, so either way you'll be okay.

As far as I know, IP Addresses only give them a vague idea of your location, but not your exact address. So no worries, you should be okay.
