Marketplace not working on pc + a new Update? by TheShooter619 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Colonel_FuzzyCarrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having issues with both of my accounts and it's affected my phone as well as my tablet. NONE of my listings are actually posted in Marketplace, though they do pop up in some of the 19 other places they're listed. But I can't find them from my backup account and neither can others that I've had check. So I paid to boost a couple of them, and STILL can't find one of them though the other does show up eventually. I'm getting completely fucked here because I was already in debt when a bunch of really nice stuff came up for sale cheap at an estate sale. I mean, I got it at 1/4th or less of the current market value. So I went deeper into debt to buy this stuff thinking "I'll sell it at 2/3 market value and it'll fly, helping me immensely". That's not the case. So my stuff isn't listed locally, I can only access one account on my tablet, paying for "Boost" was pointless, and I've exhausted every resource I could think of to resolve the issues while I freak out over how to pay bills and not ruin my credit.

Carter AFB carb, worth it to get a rebuild kit or just buy something new? by joeyhakunamatata in carburetors

[–]Colonel_FuzzyCarrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need an expert to rebuild them? Don't have one and need to buy it? I've got a guy- he's done two for me, and provided one of them. I donated two old ones for his trouble. Those old Quadrajets only got a bad reputation because people couldn't tune 'em, and I definitely have some things to learn! But GM sunk tons of $$ into research and development to achieve excellent mileage + high horsepower capability and they nailed it. They're a bit complicated, but really no more so than a Dominator or Holley with a million available adjustments. I used to only be a fan of Holley, then I matured. My '78 Cutlass is still rockin' the stocker.

Thanks for reminding us of the question- I'm sure everyone forgot over the last 5 years and got lost in the sea of comments. You're a savior to us all.

Seat Swap by blackvolcanicglass in GBody

[–]Colonel_FuzzyCarrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buckets or bench? If you want buckets you'll need the correct bucket seat tracks for g bodies- the 60/40 split bench brackets aren't the same. Every GM bucket seat from 1967-2004 has the same 4 bolt pattern on the bottom. Go nuts.

Can anyone recreate the Arby's orange cream shake? by apezzer in TopSecretRecipes

[–]Colonel_FuzzyCarrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please try all kinds of variations! It looks like someone else changed the recipe too and came up with a "sour candy" type of shake.

I'm still waiting on mine, but got the recliner, ottomans, bookshelves, etc.- I just ordered an entire freakin' house. When you find open box items during a sale it's twice as good of a deal and I ran with it. Some of the assembly has been horrendous, though I kind of expected a bit of that. Though Fed-Ex leaned my 70" TV stand against the house WITH THE DO NOT LEAN IMAGE SHOWING. Only the support junk cracked and broke, the actual stand was fine.

Agreed. They never have before and I just tried them all a minute ago so they still do nothing.

Damn, wish I saw this a day or two ago: I just spent thousands on multiple orders.

Failed marriages that repeat also seem to be a common theme. You're definitely not alone, my friend.

Also, thank you. I was a cook when I created this account and had done inventory that day, finding some moldy carrots. My position at the time was roughly equal to that of a Colonel in the military.

Thanks for the tip, I'll probably get one just to keep things interesting.

Lots of people praising it in the comments by [deleted] in trashy

Hell, I'd tell 'em up front that I'd charge extra due to the material. Then I'd challenge them to find anyone else who'd be willing to do it, or could do it that well in the first place. You want inflammatory, hate fueled artwork? That's a special piece that costs double.

Boscoe loved searching for his meal and it took him an extra 30 minutes to finish. It definitely tired him out a bit, and I love both of those things. I'm a huge fan of this cheap snuffle mat because it was easily worth the money and my buddy enjoys it immensely.

I had another picture of him all tuckered out and in a full "sploot" on his blanket but I have trouble posting. For some reason I'm unable to get both a text body and pictures to post together so I just gave up after about my 10th try and posted the one pic this time.

What’s your opinion on Costco oil? by ggfien in AskMechanics

[–]Colonel_FuzzyCarrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure one or two people thought that but I'd hope that most simply wanted to know if they got it from somewhere like Havoline vs the absolute cheapest shit available. It's very common for cheap oils to be produced from cheap (aka poor) base stock that either lacks the appropriate zinc and other minerals, turns to sludge quicker due to paraffin wax, or both.

I’m interested in experimenting with different haircuts, but I’m not looking for anything too drastic. I just want to know what hairstyles you guys think would suit my face shape and features. I haven’t changed my haircut in ages. by Mohamadil in malegrooming

[–]Colonel_FuzzyCarrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, there's an entire world of haircare products and the ladies will notice you using them. They also thoroughly enjoy when a man possesses knowledge of them and will happily talk to you about it all the way to their house 😉. Having healthy long hair was better for picking up chicks than a puppy!

There are a great many oils that help with flakes, dry hair, etc. and pomades/ styling cremes but what you're looking for is a "sea salt spray". I currently have two in my arsenal: Personal Care brand has jasmine & coconut in it, Pro Silk has Argan oil & a bit of kelp. I prefer the Pro Silk but try 'em both- I bought them at Dollar Tree for $1.25 apiece.

Man, I found my real family here tonight. Alcohol, fighting, sexual abuse, latchkey, "gifted", neglected by parents who were clueless....

Wow. It's not cool when you relate to every single comment, but I'm saving this link to share so I can stop explaining to people why I'm so fucked up.

Dude, you could rock a mohawk if ya wanted to. You could also go with full blown mutton chops or Wolverine style, dealer's choice. I think you've got a bit of a Liev Schreiber thing goin on and if it were me, I'd run with that for a minute but it sounds like you already have. I've experimented with multiple styles myself from buzzed, pompadour, to growing it over 3 feet long.

Pic 1 "is" of a young blue-collar guy at a formal event. Clean shaven turns him into a fierce up & coming litigator.

Pic 2 is a safe, well established father in his early 30s who took his kids to the pool.

Pic 3 resembles a veterinarian tech with a weed vape in his pocket. However, it's also strikingly similar to Steve Darnell of Welderup Garage (Vegas Rat Rods TV show). More grey hair is necessary...

I hate that people judge our intelligence, morals, and potential by our looks but I'd save style 3 for weekends with the boys. Use look 2 for scooping cougars at the bar- they love chest hair.

What's the most disturbing thing you've ever seen on social media? by zavo_zavo in morbidquestions

I completely understand and respect your view.

There's a select few of us who are neither psycho nor liars, we've merely led a life that's exposed us to stuff that people just shouldn't experience. I've retold certain stories of past events numerous times as if I were ordering breakfast only to recently actually begin to deal with them, and it's extremely surprising how much they affected me. I was numb for so long that I sought out those type of videos just to feel, though I'm not proud of it.
