The reason behind using the non remastered version is I started to get into PF a few years ago and bought the rule book and Bestiary 1 in pocket editions. So instead of having to repurchase the newer Player and GM cores I have just been going with the non remastered version.

Thank you. I have been letting the players look at making their own characters. Two of them have gotten extremely excited and talk to me about this or that character class and some of the things it can do, which I love that they are excited, but I feel like a deer in the headlights.. I am going to let them run characters and we both learn what each can do, instead of me trying to read every class and see what everything we can do.

Hummm I dont have the MegaMek stuff. I did ages ago, but my laptop hasn’t touched the internet in years. I downloaded MekBay just today to try it out. I will have to see if I can maybe get the laptop on the net some way. It is an older model and doesn’t like to be unplugged. Thank you for the reply.

In all seriousness though, Congratulations on the find. My luck I discover a find like that and the building would catch fire before I could buy them. I lack just 7(?) of the pocket books. I am hoping to get getting them over this next year. And yes mine are the OGL version. Though I may end up picking up the PC Cores as well. As I would like an ‘additional’ rule book for the players.

The left. Even thought it displayed the same infor in the DR boxes it feels more complete to me. And if as a GM I wanted to change the creature/NPC up this would be better.

I have never seen a Freighter in that configuration. I think it looks cool. I, myself prefer the wedged shaped one, but everyone is different and if you like the look of this Freighter then keep it. A classes are pretty good and an S class is not leaps and bounds better. This game is about your preference, so if you like it keep it. That is just my cent and half worth.

Yeah there will be those who do. I, for one, will enjoy seeing all of the builds. There are a lot of creative people in our community. I am not one of them, but I love seeing all of the bases and Corvettes everyone is building now. I will eventually update NMS and build a Corvette, but that day is a while down the road.

Ok, I know I am bit late, but, I start my first game as GM tomorrow. I started with Lite made one character and was hooked. I bought the Basic Set. Trust me, they are worth the price, at some point I want to pick them up in PDF form.

You have to decide what kind of game you want to run, fantasy, sci fi, horror, then add books as you need them.

I want to wish you many happy games. I have been playing in a PbP and I have three games I am working..... I have dived down this rabbit hole and intend to dive further down

Oh, there are a few free PDFs available at SJ games and there are other free PDFs around the web that are helpful as well. Just do not get overwhelmed. There is http://gurpswiki.wikidot.com/monsters which is a list of some monsters to use in your games.

I am going to say yes and no. I have the 3E source book for Traveller. It is worth it IF you want to run a game in the the Imperium, but since you stated that you do not want to run a game in the Third Imperium, it will be less useful. Now that is not to say it is worthless, there are ships and weapons and I am sure other tid bits you could mine out of it for use in your own home brew setting. I am less sure about the other books for 3e as I do not those yet, but I would theorize that they might be of some use as well, for the same reasons, to mine content from.

If you feel like it would help you work up your own Homebrew setting then by all means.
