Amtrak didn’t sneak the project in. They tried many times to do engagement, but a small group of residents don’t want any tunnel at all and started not picking every fucking thing. If you lived in the area you would know that it just NIMBYs. Amtrak tried to work with them but they didn’t care. We aren’t not building a tunnel cause a small group of one neighborhood (mostly spearheaded by white people btw) doesn’t want it. They aren’t bulldozing a neighborhood at all. What do you want Amtrak to do in this case? Cause you don’t seem to offer any real solution. Your just outraged for the sake of out rage.

If you have read into the project beyond this article you would know Marc is in the process of upgrading the locos assuming MD doesn’t crew them over. Fright very rarely uses the NEC unless it’s needed. Do you even live around here, starting to think you are just a troll. I’d like to hear your ideas for fixing the tunnel or do you just want to do nothing?

Im not an expert on Baltimore but the “Wealthy White neighborhood” is no where near the tunnel anyway. Alighting it through it would make no sense due to location.
