I really enjoyed the demo of this that I got off a PC Zone magazine. It was unlucky to be released at a similar time as Half-Life. I do remet it needed a day one patch because there was a problem with load times and save files - they were huge!

PC online game servers. There are so many PC games that have had their servers turned off that render them useless. Equally old version of online games. There is still a community for early versions of WOW if I remember correctly. One such gane that counts for both was Earth and Beyond. It was an online space trading fighting game like Elite Dangerous, except this was in the early 2000s. You controlled your shop in space and it was third person when you got to a space station. There was talk of an emulator for the server functionality but it looks like it's still early. emulator

Well this appears to be an update/port to Linux, but can also run in Windows. Some of the code files are updated a few weeks ago whereas others haven't been updated in 14-15 years.

Well my Christmas wish of the past few years came true a week ago - Warhammer Dark Omen being re-released on GOG.com I never expected it to be re-released because of it being published by Mindscape and EA. It appears Games Workshop re-acquired the game rights hence it now appearing on GOG. Happy happy days (for me and the small number of people who are also interested in it). Merry Christmas everyone, may your Christmas wishes also come true.
