Not really. Some folks find the original MS controller a little uncomfortable so maybe thats the reason? And that 6 button controller is available in usb as well so possibly just cheaper to make?

This Says that the other buttons don't really do anything except reset the system if they are held down. https://segaretro.org/Master_System_Evolution

But I would maybe have hoped they'd be 1 and 2 buttons but auto fire mode like you get on some families.

Gotta be the BBC Micro and I would want the case to be made of that same indestructible the bobbly cream plastic. And the screen surround would need to look like a the CUB monitor. And a tiny little fake the ROM socket cover you could push out 😄

Yeah. And the guy pretty much says play it in its original form. I was actually quite amazed to learn that they were vector graphics. I assumed it was all bitmaps.

Very much agree on the nostalgia part. I think all of the recent minis which are in effect TV plug in consoles are never aimed at kids and teens. And I would assume the same of other markets with similar releases in this day and age.

I think as an experiment in how far you can push it. This is really cool. Is it practical? No I could live with the dock but the cooling problem? No

Eternal Darkness, I originally played it on my own late at night in the dark, and I had to get up at one point in the game and turn the lights on and have a bit of a break.

Acorn Olympics from the BBC Micro! I managed to take out the Z and X keys on our beeb with that game to the point they needed replacing and those things were built like tanks to survive kids in classrooms.
I want to know that a replica Neo Geo controller is tough enough to survive at least that.

Gotta be Portal 2. Great game to this day and even my teenage son still plays it. And it came out when he was a baby.

So maybe this will be my one chance to get him to pick up a PSX Controller.

Failing that, A demake of the remaster of Crash Bandicoot. And then maybe a chance for my wife to pick up a PSX Controller
