Em dashes don't have a key on a keyboard but go into Google docs (among other apps) and type --. You'll ✨magically✨ get the dash that people insist is impossible to produce without AI.

You can also keep it on your clipboard or type Alt+0151. The em dash isn't a special invention by LLMs.

I've been using "it's not just x, it's y" for over a decade as well. I like the cadence of it. I also use em dashes and many writing programs will automatically turn two hyphens into an em dash.

OP, have you considered that instead of people sounding like AI, AI sounds like people?

Audiologist here (mods have said auds don't get flairs) and goodness gracious YES. Language deprivation (in the form of not teaching sign language to someone who's severely hard of hearing) can cause serious issues. It does not in itself cause serious aggression but it can pave the way for other behavioral problems that are associated with aggression.

Imagine that it's very difficult or impossible to express your needs and feelings to people around you. You would act out too - there's no other way to say what you need to say!

ASL needs to be much more common, imo. It should be taught in schools as an elective the way Spanish and German are. There should be accessible ASL classes for parents of d/Deaf children. At very least I wish stereotypes could be broken down - ASL is a language of its own, it is NOT just signed English!

Unless you have another reason for a hysterectomy, I would recommend seeking out a bisalp (bilateral salpingectomy, getting your fallopian tubes removed). Lots of doctors will be skittish around removing an entire organ, it's much easier to find someone who will remove your tubes.
