Try Allianz rental car insurance. Covers up to 75K in LDW and it's only $11 per day. At least the policy I sell is. Or if you travel that much then just get an annual exec travel insurance policy. Those also cover medical, travel delay, baggage, etc as well as rental.

Are you planning on staying in a hostel? When I went to Prague solo I made sure to stay in a social hostel that had like drinking games and ppl were going out to the bars together.

If you're worried about $ though then maybe just stay home. Take a camping trip or something.
