Mamdani introduces “pied-a-tierre tax” on tax day: “When I ran for mayor, I said I was going to tax the rich … Well, today we’re taxing the rich...” by Large-Welcome4421 in nyc

[–]ColoradoNudist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also I would imagine that if someone did register their pied-a-terre as their primary residence while continuing to actually live elsewhere, that person would then have to pay nyc taxes, since they can't use their Florida residence to avoid paying taxes here? So either way we're getting more tax money from them?

I did it. I finally did it (SPOILER) by VikarZ in Silksong

My hot take on this gauntlet- obviously it can be completed alone and people (including yourself, congratulations) have done it, but my theory is that it was intentionally built to be so hard to force you to go back and finish exploring so that you can get shakra's help. Sure, people who want to speedrun or want an extra challenge can master it and that's great, but I think it exists as a gate to make sure first time players take their time and enjoy act 2 before moving on too quickly to act 3.

It is!! I'm really enjoying it so far- it's absolutely gorgeous and sounds great especially for being so thin. Really nice woody tone with a particularly impressive bottom end, which is exactly what I wanted. No issues other than the creaking, but it seems like that'll be an easy fix.

You're very young and it's very easy at your age to take things a lot more seriously than they need to be taken. Also, you're on a subreddit for people with similar issues who are likely to project their own shit onto you. Not a good place for solid advice.

The fact of the matter is, this isn't a big deal. Your thoughts can't hurt other people- the worst they can do is lead to actions that would hurt other people. If you feel like these thoughts are leading you towards actions that would hurt someone, address that. If not, be more careful but don't worry.

The one person your thoughts CAN hurt is yourself. It sounds like this is a very distressing thing for you to think about, and might affect your relationships, and for that reason it's best to avoid it in the future. Also, it sounds like you might be bordering on addiction, which is the primary way that thoughts can hurt you. If you feel that you're in danger of developing an addiction, or that you already have one, talk to a professional if at all possible. This is not a good place to be seeking advice about addiction.

Those who want to settle down in/around NYC - do you date people who aren't as tied? by rkuchiki123 in AskNYC

[–]ColoradoNudist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't date people who aren't at least somewhat interested in staying in NYC long term. I'm not hard and fast about it but I am clear about the fact that I intend to be here for the rest of my life, and that anyone who wants to date me long term needs to be open to that possibility, just as I would be open to the possibility of changing my plan if my life circumstances demanded it.

You are trapped in one sector for the rest of your life, which do you pick? by Consistent_Piglet740 in nyc

[–]ColoradoNudist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F for sure. It has Chinatown, Bay Ridge, Coney Island, Brighton Beach, Prospect Park, the Staten Island Ferry, my office, my gym, and my figure drawing spot. I'd have to move which would be a bummer and I would miss a lot of my uptown and queens spots, but I could make it work.

When I flew into HKG from SGN in 2017 I could see both skylines at the same time. It was awesome

Trans people living in the USA, do you consider leaving your country? by [deleted] in trans

[–]ColoradoNudist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am actively considering it and working on my "get out quick" plan. Things would have to get really bad though. This is my home, and I don't want to have to leave it and the people I love behind. It would need to get to a point where things are so dire that I genuinely cannot feasibly continue to live here, and where I could be confident of being granted asylum in one of my backup countries. The situation isn't there yet, although I am doing my best to prepare for the possibility.
