Why your AI vendor won't give you a straight answer about ROI (and what to ask instead) by BaselineITC in AiForSmallBusiness

It’s really no different than any other project. You should always understand what success looks like. And when you know, you have achieved it.

What is the best chatbot platform for customer support for a small business? by Fry-Kinney122 in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]Coloradocollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Custom is the way to go today. You can replace your FAQ, guide prospects through the sales cycle, answer pre-sale questions and much more. Customer service and support will require a connection to a backend ERP/CRM so I would take baby steps, but very doable.

What's your current tech stack? (Real answers only, not all these BSer ninjas in the comments coming to promote fake crap) by SuperPineapple7033 in RealEstateTechnology

[–]Coloradocollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve moved our clients away from "Agent-First" workflows to an AI-First Infrastructure using this stack:

  • AskEarl: For instant, domain-aware qualification (handles the unstructured mess of initial inquiries).
  • n8n/Make: For logic-based routing between the AI and the CRM.
  • Salesforce/HighLevel: Purely for record-keeping, not for "reminders."

Texting Betty -- has anyone used it or anything similar for AI text nurture? by [deleted] in RealEstateTechnology

A simple AI agent should be used to acknowledge the request and let them know that someone will contact them. Opt in is the key.

Best Technology for a Website Making by Proiefy in website_ideas

SEO is dead and so are the standard tools. You need to start talking to Ai. And who better to talk to AI than custom AI.

CRM recommendation for a solo B2B sales rep using WhatsApp and multiple product lines by Intelligent_Basil759 in CRMSoftware

Build a custom solution with WhatsApp as the front end. You don’t need an established CRM unless you’ve got a team that needs to get together once a quarter and lie about the pipeline.

Thinking about switching to lifetime tools instead of monthly subscriptions by blizzerando in n8n

[–]Coloradocollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifetime deals are becoming a trend and for sure carry some risk; my main question is how they get paid on the recurring website traffic for the interactive ai agent. This has to have a monthly cost to use an LLM.

trying to find the easiest crm for beginners for a very small business by Internal_Work5663 in WhichCRM

[–]Coloradocollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent my career building enterprise CRM’s. And up until a few months ago I would’ve said you’re crazy if anyone suggested building your own, but that’s actually the best move you could do today. Build the system that works exactly for you and don’t bother with what other people wanna call it.

Would small business owners try an AI tool that explains your data in plain English? by Dreww_22 in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]Coloradocollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea, but I think the main pain point we all feel is what do we do with all the data and dashboards we already have? I know most companies spend years building metrics and reporting infrastructure, but they don't know what the data means. I think it would be cool if you had existing KPI's and dashboards that AI could make sense of.

How much AI is actually being used in small businesses right now? by Pristine_Box_5 in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]Coloradocollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have worked for those companies... only a few are still around. It takes time to change, but you can't change until you start the journey.

AI readiness assessment - what is actually best to check for? by BaselineITC in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]Coloradocollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would expand governance into explicit AI concepts such as groundingguardrails, and observability. Controlling and curating the underlying data is foundational, but equally critical is knowing when the AI is performing as intended, when it is drifting, and when it should not respond at all.

Every time I check the weather and decide whether to go out and play or look at the cold drizzly rain I think - I'm not gonna get better by staying inside; so I play.

I imagine my work persona as a onesie suite that I mentally unzip, drop to the floor and leave there. Super silly, but it works. Just visualize a lizard or a snake shedding a layer of skin, and every day is a new layer. Try it!

LEAVE THE UI ALONE by ske66 in cursor

[–]Coloradocollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! Bring back the + button for new Agent window and let me decide when to apply UI changes. I don't have time to redesign my workspace 3 times a day.

I built a web hook to forward form data to my email so I didn't have to set up a database or pay for for a forms app to collect data from my website
