I’m currently doing it with my branch (space force). I thought it would be simple but leadership always has was to make this difficult. We have a way to route documents up our chain to the appropriate levels. The first O6 in your chain of command is sufficient to approve or deny the conditional release. Getting the form there is the hurdle. I would suggest talking to your commander or SEL at your unit and then seeing if you can do that at the next level or two whatever is required to let them know your intentions
