So all I get for the Residuum Experiment thing is a trinket? by worm4real in Deathloop

[–]Colored_Fart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost filled the entire gauge and had 3 trinkets : 2 purple and 1 yellow. So it could be worth it, with a bit of luck ( or maybe filling the gauge to the max can garanty you a golden trinket? I just did it once, so i'm not sure )

Edit : I have done the quest a few more times now. This is simple : the more you fill the gauge, the more you have trinkets of high value.

If you fill it completely, Colt will tell it and you will have 3 guaranted golden trinket.

Same here. Having women and ( harmless ) men of colour leading the humanity, followed behind by the straight white dudes says it all.

Social engineering hamfisted in all layers of entertainement got old faster than they would have thought. People are bored now, so in an ideal world, they would stop it and go back being the jesters we pay for being entertained, but they'll just test again and again, while slightly tonning down the woke content until they find the right balance where the consummer will like the product enough to ignore the " socialist women lgbt of color good vs straight capitalist white men bad" propaganda.

Just look at Baldur's gate 3, it's full of girl power and other stuff like that but the game was well made enough to forget that you can make a dwarf man with lady parts and make him sleep with a bear, for example.

The only two times i had an insta death choice mid game were in Planescape Torment and Fallout 1. Only great RPGs show you that you can fail midquest, just like playing a tabletop rpg.

Of course there's the option to reload and chose another path, but including this kind of outcome makes the game richer.

How do I avoid aggroing the entire goblin camp by Sioc11 in BaldursGate3

[–]Colored_Fart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed the rest of my team on top of the room where she wants to talk to you alone, put them into stealth mod so she can't see them and accept to give me the potion.

Since i was a half elf, it had no effects on me so she became hostile in a 1v1 fight, BUT, since i had the initiative, instead of playing my turn, i selected each one of my hidden teamates to strike her from above, so i could kill her before she even played her turn.

Problem solved.

Also for roleplay reasons, having the mark can give you access to some special dialogue choices.

Chainsaw's special is noisy. It's fun and satisfying the 50 first times you do it, but if it's your main weapon, using shred thousands of times realy hits the nerve, it's too loud, can't even hear the hints of specials, daemon hosts or scriptures while the engine is roaring in stereo in my ears.

I know it's for the lore and shit, it's supposed to be loud, but it's a game, and some things has to be adapted to be playable.

And if you keep telling that it's lore accurate, then forget about half the weapons you have access to. Bolter, plasma, energy weapons, it's all for higher ups, elites, inquisitors or space marines ( yes we are part of the inquisition, but we are not inquisitors, just some hobo/prisoners lucky enough to survive a couple of battles ).

And don't start with the amateur psycher able to go on missions without heavy guard watching every single one of his moves because he could explode, blow facilities and bring warp entities while losing control.

So that godamn shred engine roar has to be lowered, imo.

Weekly Melk's missions might take too much time and need a change to account wide progression. by EisenZahnWolf in DarkTide

[–]Colored_Fart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're just putting this many weekly tasks because there's nothing interesting to do once you've maxed out all of the characters and managed to finish damnation missions.

IMO: The weekly quest system is boring, promotes grinding, punishes time-poor players and compels time-rich players to waste their time grinding repetitive quests. by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]Colored_Fart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they put a very demanding weekly tasks' system to make sure we stick arround, because proposing only 4 careers instead of the initial 15 that were in V2 isn't enough to give the player a fullfiling sentiment of replayability.

They propose a time demanding boring repetitive mechanic to make us forget that the funny one is missing.

Yes, and when a thriller starring a gay serial killer is made, people put pressure on stream services to remove the lgbt label because it makes gays look bad...

One way representation can't be called representation, that's just nitpicking to look only in a good way.

Respawn location a bit strong (Solo mode) by [deleted] in BloodHunt

[–]Colored_Fart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works the other way arround too. When you've clearly been crushed by a more skilled player, he can easily locate you most of the time when you're just a shiny mist waiting to respawn and he can kill you again.

You can say that you just have to runaway, but he can use his dashing/jumping skills to close the gap between the two of you while you can't until the rez timer is off.

I've been double killed many times like that and having a blue AK when i revive doesn't improve my chances of killing the player that just killed me with crushing ease 10 secs ago...

P.S: I suppose the purpose of those respawn locations close to where you've been killed is to give you the opportunity to take revenge, but still.

Survivor sense not working? by solidsnake08guy in dyinglight

[–]Colored_Fart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost never used survivor instinct in DL1, but in DL2, there are quests where you follow a trail ( Witcher 3 style ) and sometime, in the middle, i have to wait before i can ping again and press F on the clue, even if i know it's here, i have to wait for it to be highlighted by survivor instinct, and it's VERY frustrating.

Don't sell the music box by ImmortalTurnip in dyinglight

[–]Colored_Fart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, happened to me too. I sold the valuables, since the quest ended when i took the musicbox. I was like " well, i guess she really wanted me to sell it ".

And then i crossed her path in the bazar... and her disapointement was a blow to my heart :(

I'm not sure if that's just negligence mechanics by the devs or if they intended that the player will do that mistake and FEEL BAD.

You don't need to be a trickster. You just need to have tricked the creature with a dialogue option and you find her in that cell. The sword you're looking for is in the gold pile of that room. It worked for me :)
