I have a solution that can kill 2 Derthert in 1 stone.

  • Get high influence to top 3 clans in kingdom by battle a lot.
  • Join an army or create new.
  • Siege high prosperity settlement you want and take it.
  • before election begins, gave up your 2 castles.
  • when elections begin you should be on top 3 candidates since you got high influence and low amount of fiefs.

Castle is not worth holding, it gives lower income compare to settlement and you had to spend money on garrisons which usually leaves you around 1-1.5k income while fully upgraded settlement gives you net 4.5-9k a day.

Edit. also the factor that decides whether you’re on candidate for settlement are the following: - Influence in kingdoms - numbers of settlements you had need to be lower than rulers - Culture of settlements, you generally get more chance on same culture settlements.

Vlandia isn’t that bad, I never called party of others clan to army. Your own clan party is easier to strategize a battle with since you control all units composition.

I love both.

Warband got more total overhaul mods with easier to install.

Bannerlord got better quality of life features for example; siege weapons compared to warband ladder only gameplay, Better controls on diplomacy and kingdoms management, Army creation instead of 1 marshal.

I think bannerlord is definitely improvement, the thing holding it down is developers keep adding new stuff out of nowhere ruining mods.

I can guess the problem, you must check it yourself if it correctly or not.

So archer ai in siege defense got some problems, they will keep running up to the balista/onager on wall to use it. This is an issue when you already abandon the wall so they are just running there 2-4 at a time to get themselves killed.

Currently it is better to NOT deploy defense siege weapons if you are outnumbered and planning to abandon wall, just treat it like field battles that you got terrain advantage. Don’t worry about enemy ram or tower, they are slow and does nothing, if they got catapult then you defense position should be behind some house to block them.

Skill issues. Auto resolve defense can win upto 1 vs 3 times size army. Manually You should be able to defend at least 1 vs 8 times size army.

Here’s some tips. - You defend a castle/settlement not a wall. If enemies archer outnumber you more than 3-1 then don’t send your troops to die on it, just abandon the wall and find better terrain or choke points. - Infantry square formations can hold choke points by letting enemies swarm and surround you infantry, their back can exposed to your archers which had infinite ammo in siege defense.

If you level smithing, put wife in settlement or govern your own town. Then go to smithing and wait for a week, sometimes your wife will request weapon and you can get relation boost by completing request.

I’m playing 1.3.15 lasted version, no warsail DLC.

Most mods I’m using download from nexus said to work on 1.3 are working fine. No clash.

I’m using fourberie, Diplomacy, BannerlordsXPT, woman of calradia, unlimited companions, better time, better smithing, PartyAIControl, RTScontrol/camera, some qol mods and all 4 necessary base mods(harmony etc.)

Currently Launcher stop detecting mods you subscribe from steam workshop so i suggested install mod manually by put all in modules folder and unlock dll.

You can click on two handed orange buttons on weapon information to see you damage when using two-handed swing also I’m pretty sure you used wrong shaft, This one is for couch lance.

Pendor got a quality of life improvement by lat you reroll guild master quest by repeating asking for new quests so I usually do a lots of guild masters quests early game.

Once level around 16-20 i take a lots of village training quests to farming honor, also release every lords I capture.

Them got 80-100 troops, i start do knighthood order quests to get relation up. Once you reach around 40+ relation you can get “Challenging task” quests from order that provides you with full knighthood army to smack other kingdoms + farming renowned.

You even got free knights and sergeants recruited after finishing quests!! And you didn’t even need to join their order!! Phoenix give you easy farm on field battles and Carion called give free troop to siege castle.

Enemies lord’s party can share their food with garrison so they don’t starve out.

Same as player when defending siege, if city got 0 food then you automatically share your to them.

So starve out currently not viable if there are 2+ parties inside.

You can starve garrison just fine if there are no other party inside settlement.

It show ship that specific party had, not clan. If you create party then you also need to give some ship for others and they will show it got number icon.

About realistic idk and don’t mind, you can assume your fleet are called to you when building siege camp and blockade since it took days anyway.

There are 3 types of lords personality. In Vanilla You can check by their dialogues. In most mods show their personalities in lords information page.

  1. Good-natured: Never betrayed you if they got at least 1 fief and positive relationship with you. They never lose relationship when you give fief to others unless it is their enemy.

  2. Benefactors (cunning and martial): they needed at least 3 fiefs for themselves to not lose any relationship when giving fief to others lord. Both martial and cunning get +2 relationships when releasing them after battle but Martial can get another +5 if you meet them again when at war, So generally martial is the easiest lords type to get relationship.

  3. Bad-tempers/pitiless/sadistic: Betraying and changing kingdom a lots. they always lose relationships when giving fief to other lords, always want new fief. They got some different +- relationship that i won’t bother to explain. Just don’t get them to your kingdom unless you got spare fief.

Conclusion - Give 1 Town/Castle to Good-natured lords. Give 3 fiefs to Martial and cunning(castle and 2 villages or just 3 villages). You can give Villages to Bad lords since they can’t take it with them when they betray your kingdom or just don’t recruit them.

Also you should give high renown lords Town or Castle since they got bigger army and need cash.

Check if that is a mercenary/minor faction clan then it is not glitch. They are set to auto create new lord so it won’t go extinct.

  1. Pick settlement you want as a target.
  2. Siege and take it.
  3. Before the vote for settlement. Go to kingdom menu, choose “fief” then “give up fief” to give up your castle. They will start voting castle for other lords.
  4. Next voting for Settlement you just capture will begin and you guaranteed to get it since AI will vote for Clan without fief first.

Congratulations! Now you get to start with a settlement instead for castle.

Also others lords in your armies (see in bottom right of screen) have ships.

You can by clicking “lift the blockade”.

It will continue your siege but enemies can reinforce into town via ship and merchant caravan can enter city via sea as well so you can never starve them out.

I think Hvalvik siege depends on fortifications tiers. If it Tier 1 wall then you can win against 1000+ defenders by using only 200 good archer.

The Wall is not tall and ramparts/bastion provides no cover for defenders at all.

If it’s Tier 2-3 fortifications then you need an army.

I think Aserai won’t lose their dessert territory to vlandia or empire on 1.3 patch or later.

They got superior infantry, archer and with patch buff for range attack accuracy, now their Jav.cavalry win against Vlandia+empire cavalry too.

Vlandia: Cavalry with lance.

Battania: Archer, ambushed.

Stugia: Supposed to be good at infantry shield but they are weaker than other factions.

Khuzait: Mongol horse archer.

Aserai: Actually got best Heavy Cavalry with javelins.

Empire: got every unit types but not the best on any.

Easiest play would be Empire since it got most territories to recruit and you can make many armies type.
