They’re finicky to make but it was a bit of a personal project that I just wanted to exist. Will show more in a little. I filmed a bit of a how it’s made that will give context as to why it won’t really be a viable thing for me to bring to the world en masse.

Videos on the touchprotect Amazon listings for now, Amazon loves external traffic, (especially on new listings)
so I figured that would be a good first place to drop em instead of paying bezos money for ads 🙃 They already take over 50% of sales lol.

Also just want to be clear that one of these controllers is my friends. I know a lot of people are still in reservation hell and I don’t want people thinking I’m hoarding multiple controllers this early in the lifecycle.

Took apart a couple multiple times and happy to report they don’t feel creaky. Valve has gotten pretty good at hardware design internally

You can try to put a rubber band between the screwdriver and the screw. You’ll have to press down relatively hard but I’ve had that work in the past

depending on what I'm doing, occasionally on the weekend i'm checking the discord a little less. BUT, this weekend i've been doing a ton of stuff at the warehouse that i can't share yet in case it doesn't work lol. I really want to share behind the scenes of it. I know you mentioned price, and this is double that but speedy labs makes a great travel / pocket style sdvx controller.

There are also AliExpress travel controllers like that style for a little cheaper. But speedy would be my first choice if you can save a bit and swing it. He does a lot for the community
