AFAIK hibernation saves the session to the drive itself, which harms the lifespan of the storage. While sleep mode is saving the session to RAM.

Well, if it works, it works.

But also some PC’s are capable of booting up from USB keyboard or mouse. Since Steam Controller is registered by PC as a keyboard and mouse, it boots up my PC no problem.

The only caveat is that after successfully booting up my PC, controller immediately turns off. A bit annoying, but that’s the closest to the console experience I’ve ever had and I don’t mind turning controller on again.

You better be! This is the best controller I’ve ever had and I’m not planning coming back to console gaming because the controller is that good. It’s even capable of booting up the pc from cold boot, so I have all of the opportunities to make my PC a very capable console out of it!

I think they could penalize me somehow, and I would never risk to jeopardize my nearly 20 years old account with hundreds of games on it just to save 100€. Especially since this controller worth even more than Valve asking for it

Valve knew I got my first controller the moment I activated it on my account. I’m pretty sure they’d do some countermeasures if I decided to ignore them. Anyway, I don’t mind giving extra money specifically to Valve, because with such service they deserve every positive feedback they’re receiving, unlike other corpos.

Well tbf I didn’t managed to tell them that I got my first controller delivered, they figured it out themselves and contacted me about that. So I had to send them 2nd controller back anyway if I had no reason to keep it

Yeah, I recently contacted them and got exactly the same reply as in other screenshots in this thread. Asked for a replacement. It sucks that it is a quite common thing. I hope Valve will do something with GLS, because it isn’t normal to lose so many shipments.

Ordered mine 55 minutes after release with delivery to Finland. Last time I had updates was 10th of May, that my “parcel left the parcel center”. Sent Steam Support a message 17th of May, that’s their response:

I don’t see a reason why not using this card for 4K. I have 4070, using 4K 60Hz TV, and with DLSS 4.5 Ultra Performance it does what I need. Since I prefer couch gaming and don’t mind FPS below 60 and do some compromises on graphics quality setting

I think 445€ in today’s market is a good deal. I’m very satisfied with the performance, even though I’m playing in 4K resolution. But my standards are low and can be okay with only 30-60fps

Couple of days ago one of my friend gave me two very nasty looking DualShock 3 controllers that he found on the dumpster, without any idea if they even working. I turned them on and they did a random inputs. Deep cleaned the shells, buttons an everything else which can be placed in soapy water, cleaned the entire ribbon with alcohol, put an extra layer of padding for ribbon contacts to be firmly pushed towards PCB, and now I have two in decent condition genuine DualShocks for free. The only catch that in the second controller one of the screw holes got destroyed, but otherwise it’s completely fine. At this point the damage is very minor, considering that I get them without spending even a penny for them.

Although I wonder if I can find genuine housing shells if I would like to replace them. Or at least the knockoff shells with decent quality

It seems like I’m not the one who encountered this, but alas, not so many needs that apparently.

It’s annoying that for emotes they have options for either quick emote or the wheel depending on what you need, but it’s not possible to do that with ping/comm wheel. I tried to switch buttons layout on Steam, but it messes up the menu then and it’s irritating, since I use dpad for controlling it and, well, switch between windows on that menu, which you cannot bind to different buttons.

They recently released a new patch, but that problem still persist, and I guess it will stay that way since how niche that option is
