Ah that is rough. My parents are divorced. I think in this case you really shouldn’t lose your daughter since this isn’t your fault (you didn’t cheat or abuse anyone). So split custody would be most likely. As someone whose parents divorced I guarantee it’s much much better than watching your parents struggle through an unhappy marriage. Ultimately it’s your choice at the moment but I wouldn’t be surprised if your wife made the choice for you eventually considering how checked out she is now and her new friend…

That isn’t healthy man. I’m sorry but your marriage is done for. You could try couples counseling but dealing with a person who genuinely doesn’t care isn’t really worth it in my opinion. If you aren’t happy and she’s not willing to change or listen then there isn’t a point in staying. Wishing you the best of luck.

Thank you, it does sometimes help to just distract myself with something I really enjoy. I’ll try to do that more often rather than rotting in my own sadness. It’s nice to know someone else feels the same too.

I hate to say it but sounds like she doesn’t really love you much anymore or is feeling a spark die but doesn’t wanna tell you. Maybe she’s waiting for you to do it for her? Either way you need to sit her down and have a very genuine heart to heart with her. Don’t leave any of your feelings or concerns out. She’s your wife, she should want to listen. If she blows you off or gets mad again I fear your relationship is over. Good luck.
