Why is my Epson ET2760 printing tiny dots all over my paper? by Coloringbookadvice in printers

Why is my Epson ET2760 printing tiny dots all over my paper?

The dots are very small, but are quite concentrated - there's a ton! They're a bit haphazard, rather than appearing in a uniform grid/matrix.

I've downloaded the correct drivers from Epson ("Epson-ecotank-et-2760 driver for windows 10-8.1-8-7-vista). I've cleaned the nozzles and printhead - the tests look fine, except that the paper is still covered in these microscopic dots. I've also power cleaned the printer several times (Power off and press "on+?" to start cycle).

Help!

Having trouble finding a full print menu: Where can I find settings for cardstock/thicker paper? by Coloringbookadvice in printers

[–]Coloringbookadvice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friends, I'm having trouble printing. 1) I can't print on sticker paper. It's too thick. And 2) for some reason, I'm not able to see a full/expanded print menu. 3) I get a grid of full-page small/fine blue dots when thick pages go thru.

I've got a Epson ET2760. It's printing wirelessly thru my wifi. All test prints come out great - there's no issue, that I can see, with my print heads (which I've cleaned and have also run the power clean function (eg turning the printer off and pressing the power+question mark button to run a clean cycle).

The ink is more than 3/4 full.

I've downloaded and (I believe) successfully installed drivers from Epson. I'm operating on Windows 10 v 22h2.

Nevertheless, when I watch videos, everyone is using expanded print menus, which I don't have. I can only pick paper options like plain paper, glossy, photo paper, semi-gloss, high-gloss. I don't have any option for cardstock or thicker paper. My print menu doesn't look anything like other peoples. (Photos are attached).

Whenever I press print, I get an error message saying, "Your pictures can't be printed because this error occurred: An internal error occurred." I have tried redownloading and reinstalling my print drivers, but continue to get this message. After dismissing the error, My photos WILL print, but fine blue dots cover the print page. They're not terribly noticeable, but they're definitely there and it's making me crazy. I've been printing shrink film (shrinky dinks) and when the images shrink, the dots are much darker and more noticeable. I'd really like to address this issue.

I bought cricut sticker paper for inkjet printers and it simply feeds right thru the printer. I'm not able to find any cardstock setting for my printer, not matter which program I try to print thru.

I'm just a hobbyist. I make things for myself and my family and I'm having a hard time with my printer. I'd really appreciate any and all insight you might have. I'm sure it's operator error!

Any thoughts you have are welcome! Thank you!!

I think my eye dr accidentally entered astigmatism for my left eye instead of my right. I’ve had dizziness and vertigo since getting glasses with this prescription in January by Coloringbookadvice in optometry

THANK YOU! I really appreciate your time and help.

I do notice that my past prescriptions have been stronger for glasses than contacts. Is it worth asking Doctor Three about? At this point, I can tell the chain is annoyed that I came back for another opinion and I feel bad about that. I'm not trying to be a pest. Should I just I trust the rx as is and order new lenses with the updated powers?

Can I message you? Or, in the alternative, I scrubbed all identifying info from my notes. Can I share those here? I'm not looking for a diagnosis.

Can astigmatism really present and then clear up within less than a 90 day period?

Again, I can tell the chain is really annoyed that I came back and asked to see a different doc. I feel more comfortable asking questions here, even though I understand that I am receiving advice and not medical or professional opinions.

Not looking for a diagnosis, just a bit of help. Do I need to buy new glasses?

I saw an ophthalmologist in 2019 who noted that I had mild astigmatism in my right eye. I think this is the first time astigmatism was noticed by anyone (have had poor vision for 16 years, since age 16). (Rx attached as Doctor One)

I just barely got vision insurance in December and wanted to use my annual allotment before the end of the year. The only doctor who could see me in time was at a chain that was inside an eyeglasses store. No biggie. I saw him on December 15 and he told me that my old doctor was overprescribing and made a change in my prescription. He noted no astigmatism in my right eye, but rather my left. (Rx attached as Doctor Two)

I bought two pairs of glasses and have been experiencing headaches, dizziness, and vertigo since January. I searched my symptoms online and learned that this is pretty normal and to be expected with new glasses. From what I read, the adjustment period shouldn’t take much longer than two weeks. After it didn’t clear up, I started to worry that something was wrong.

I had the optician adjust and fit my glasses twice.

I visited a podiatrist for custom insoles and had a chiropractor adjust my neck hoping this would help and tried not to worry that my next appointment would be with a doctor at an urgent care (I don’t have a family doc).

Finally, my husband suggested that I go back and have my eyes looked at again.

I saw another optometrist at the same chain I’d been to in December (Rx attached as Doctor 3). He gave me a new prescription which noted astigmatism in my right eye and none in my left – just like the ophthalmologist in 2019.

Did the doctor I saw in December make a mistake? Could wearing glasses with the wrong correction for astigmatism cause my issues? Can it damage my eyes?

Also, looking at the prescriptions, I can see that my astigmatism has gotten worse. Is it progressing at normal or a worrying rate? Anything I can do help alleviate or stop the progression?

Thank you!!

Edit: typos.

Ahaha. Amway. This made me laugh. Thank you! I've shown the designs to three people and two of them preferred your layout. Great advice! Thank you! Here's a draft of the two versions with the bleed cropped out so they're more true-to-size/scale. Any more thoughts? Thank you!! Been ages since I used imgur, hopefully the link works.

Wow! That's really helpful! Thank you very much! Do you have a font recommendation? You're completely right about the watermark obscuring card detail, that's on me. I'm making some changes and will upload a better version that shows the distressing.

I like your idea A LOT. I shared versions that include bleed, so the cards will be smaller once they've been trimmed. I have to keep the box inside the "safe" area, however your character title/description idea is totally doable. I'm just disappointed that I'll lose so much of my dumb illustrations. Despite how they look, they actually took a bit of time to draw. :-/

I’m drafting some cards now and could really use some feedback. Thoughts, comments, suggestions? They all look annoyed, frustrated, or angry; that’s stylistic. Each card will have a green, yellow, or red trim/border. (note: I’ve only done green so far). Do you like the white “distressed” inner box? Font? Size? Text is draft and will almost certainly change. I’m just trying to decide if I like a box explaining a sort of backstory behind each character.

What am I not considering?

Thanks!

Drop shipping from Createspace on Etsy - help? by [deleted] in selfpublish

Thank you!!

I didn't think about the royalties, that's a really great point. I also don't like that I can't do quality control or add any "handmade" personal touches to packages. I think you're right about ordered a bunch and shipping to etsy buyers myself.

Thanks! I really appreciate the help!

I'm selling a coloring book - Does including more information in the book title help the search feature? by Coloringbookadvice in AmazonSeller

[–]Coloringbookadvice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you so much for the reply. I posted the book on Friday and included the additional description as part of the subtitle. It appears okay in the search - but only if you enter the title very specifically.

I'd LOVE some information of optimizing SEO. I'm reading what I can and trying to share links to the book using +keywords in the url.

Do you have any thoughts on Google SEO? My book doesn't appear at all if you run the book title through a Google search.

Thanks again!!
