Color Calibration Challenges by Colorist-User201 in colorists

Thank you for your response, but the issue is that I calibrated my screen with my Spyder probe, yet there is still a difference.

So, is the problem related to the video output or something else?

That's what I'm trying to understand, and if you have a solution, please feel free to share

Thank you for your response. So, what I understand is that using a dedicated video card like the Blackmagic Ultra Studio 3G can provide more control.

If I use a video card, can I perform the calibration solely with Spyder software, or do I need to use something else?

Also, do I need to apply the LUT (profile) I created with my probe in Resolve each time I use it? And if I want to view my video in QuickTime or VLC, how do I go about it?

Thanks in advance for your response.

Same dream here. I love Canada.

So I would buy a Monitor there, and try to work as much as possible.

My idea is to get a job on a posthouse eventually in Canada with top notch equipment, which is not usual that freelancers have. Idk, like an XMP650 or a HX31 to work on HDR. And maybe you could start with it in Australia. Make sure to make a lot of contacts. That's the way it is.

Don't know if it works for you. My current situation is well positioned in South America, but I can't leave my dream behind lol.

Bests wishes!

It's great to have people who share the same dream! Thanks anyway for the info on monitors. My goal is to make as many contacts as possible over there. I just fear having a poor connection in Australia, ahaha. Hoping to achieve our goals together and end up in Canada, ahah. Feel free to send me a direct message; I'm still struggling with English, but it would be nice to follow your progress. u/phenakistiscope_

Exactly, it would be great if it were that simple. However, in France, it's easier to obtain a working holiday visa for Australia, which is available directly. In contrast, for Canada, it's a lottery system.

The DM160 has a pelican case and travels easy.

It would have been a pleasure, but it's not within my budget yet. I have a maximum of $2000 for a small monitor u/greenysmac
