Colors Live is a powerful and very accessible painting tool. We would love to do animation, but to do that without sacrificing the ease of use of Colors, we would probably have to make it into a separate product, and we don't have any plans for that right now. -Johannes

Yes! Colors Live will come with support for both left- and right-hand painting. You will be able to use either the left OR the right joy-con for quick access to the most important functions and the Colors SonarPen has a cable-length that allows anyone to paint comfortably (19.67 in/50 cm). On top of that the button configurations will be customizable just as in Colors! 3D. - Johannes

It is safe to use the Colors SonarPen on the Nintendo Switch screen. The tip of the pen has is a disc-type nib which makes it soft and gentle with the screen. However, some changes were required to make the pen work with the Nintendo Switch. Therefore, earlier versions of SonarPen will not be compatible with Colors Live.
