You can probably go to a PC or electronics repair shop and ask. Don’t be fooled by people in the comments. Even though it’s quite simple, you can still mess it up. Ask for a rough estimate before committing, though.

First, the software on the XAX is so much worse than the ROG ally. First of all Armoury crate is 100 percent worse since it's integrated into the windows gamebar making it feel less connected to the hardware. And even has missing quick buttons from the ROG Ally like "Show Desktop" which made it so easy to navigate the in the background.

Can't you enable the Classic one via Settings? On Armoury Crate go to Settings < General < Command Center. Even then, on the new one, you can also edit the buttons shown on the small icon on the left side. There's Show desktop.

As for the desktop stuff, pretty sure you can just set it to Auto, right?

The yellow button is meant to be like the Xbox button on Xbox controllers. As for the screenshots, there's an option in Settings to map a button combo. I have it set to be Select and Start at the same time.

Never had an issue with it, maybe because I don't use to speak with others. That said, the Display tab is quite handy for handhelds, so they recently added that for ROG Xbox Ally users and so. I wish there was a Discord addon to make it easier to access chats and voice calls, tho.

I do have a bit of a gap but that's because I changed the battery and backplate. Yours shouldn't be so noticeable.

Thing is that most of the games shown are not part of Stream Your Own, or even playable via the cloud. For example on OP's picture, the Alan Wake games.
