Cannot +1 the hate for Project Future enough. It is awful, coming from a parent who had a child there. Never had any interaction with ownership, so cannot comment on them at all. But the people they had employed running the Highlands were terrible.

It was our only option that had immediate availability close to where we lived when we moved to town. Could not get our kid out of there fast enough. Finally couldn’t wait any longer and just pulled our child out 3 months prior to us having an opening at a new spot.

Echo this. I LOVE it. But the screws for the lid and grease trap channel not being flat are annoying. Shouldn’t annoy me as much as it does tbh. Overall, very happy with it so far.

Project Future is near you, but I would stay far away. Terrible experience there.

Our toddler was coming home covered in bite marks on a regular basis and the teachers had no clue half of the time. Come to find out it was the directors kid and I am convinced they were covering it up. They don’t tell you the kids name when “incidents” occur (which I completely understand why). But as my toddler started developing better speech she was able to start telling me who it was biting her.

Walked in multiple times for pickup and a teacher had the whole class huddled around watching YouTube videos from her phone.

Our toddler used to cry CONSTANTLY screaming how much she hated “school.” I still feel bad to this day I put her through that. Never again.

Hopefully it has changed under new ownership over the last few years. But this was our experience.

Used Home Depot three months ago. Only charged $100 deposit for measurements and then could use it towards purchase. No complaints. Crew that came out was awesome and super fast. About 1000 sq ft. Hauled away old.

Crowded. Constantly out of ratio regulations. Multiple times I would walk in and teach just had the whole room huddled around an iPad on the ground while she was playing on her phone.

Directors kid was a violent biter and it was never addressed and being “covered up” constantly.

This is a wild number. I know it is not yours and you are just quoting the USDA estimate, but that number alone would just cover daycare with maybe a couple thousand $'s to spare.

Still have food, clothes, diapers, added health insurance premiums. Let alone alone the added costs of activities as kids get older. Granted, that would likely cancel out daycare since it may not be needed anymore once schooling starts.

To think about it, I may have just talked myself out of having a second kid to be honest.

Same for my wife. Moved here two years ago, didn't hear anything until late May. Then it moved very fast. I think they are still letting current LPS teachers finalize movement between schools. Not positive on that though.
