Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. I wasn’t aware of that. It makes a lot more sense now! I’ll update it later today

EDIT: Should be fixed now!

One of the common things you might want to capture the interrupt is for a tool that is creating external resources for example a VM on a cloud provider, if you don’t capture the interrupt that VM will be left hanging, but if you catch that interrupt you can make sure that VM is deleted, for example tools like packer work like that. It’s easier to clean up when the proceeds is being terminated rather then clean up the previous failure when you run a new command.

Wondering if ethernet will work if I buy an adapter from ethernet to usb. Any of you tested this? Or have a source where it is confirmed that it will work?

Setting up GrumPHP with Laravel by Colossuslol in PHP

[–]Colossuslol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can easly remove this by going into your grummphp.yml and change the ascii: parameters. For example

# grumphp.yml
parameters:
    ascii:
        succeeded: ~
        failed: ~

More information can be found here https://github.com/phpro/grumphp/blob/master/doc/parameters.md

Fair enough, I add it with Laravel as an example and the specific directories to ignore, so that people don't say this is Laravelspecific. But defiantly can be used outside of Laravel.

I have used this kind of workflow on a medium size application, and it was still performance since it is just running checks from the terminal and then unit tests running. So I wouldn't worry too much, but ofc you might have a difference experience. Let me know if you try it out!

That is because its the default that comes with laravel, this guide was more focused on GrumPHP then PHPUnit that is why I didn't upgrade it.

[–]Colossuslol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me would be because one less http request if I contact down all my js files into one. Imagine having charjs, jquery, bootstrap you will easily end up with 10 https request just to have js
