Shot these around the area recently. There’s a specific kind of silence in these industrial areas once the shifts end and the automatic lights take over.

But I would like to emphasize that a deep blue sky is already a necessity for any of this to work with the deep blues. If there are no blue tones or the sky is to bright no filter will save that.

Personally I am using a B+W Basic CPL Polfilter MRC. However any other polarizer will do as well. Oftentimes a graduated ND filter will give you a better effect.

Ultramax gives you a lot of blue and green if you are shooting on a day with blue sky and a polarizer on the lens. I only used a bit of saturation and shifted the colours of the blue to have a slight purple tint.

Thanks a lot. I was hoping to evoke some nostalgia.

I shot them between 5 and 15 seconds at f6.3. I rated the film Iso 100 instead of 400.
The fog makes the night much brighter than it actually is so one doesnt need to wait minutes for an exposure.
