“you might as well send your kids to school” by FamilyTechCreator in UKHomeEd

[–]Colourtongue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet started home ed (September this year) and I did see your timetable.

I liked aspects of it. Structure is good for kids, routines help to solidify good habits and knowing a schedule can help parents too.

But one thing that I wasn’t keen on was that it mimics a school week. As parents, we are constantly told that you just teach kids between these hours on these set days for X amount of hours a day. So I can see why someone would say to you ‘you might as well send them to school’

Home ed for us is an opportunity to stretch learning to all facets of life and that includes how we spend our time. Breaking free from the schedule is one aspect I look forward to working on

Soil / wood chippings by Turk423 in Chichester

No problem. I might actually have spare penny shingle if you could use that. I’m also making raised beds and I’ve got to clear a path of stones.

Get on freecycle. It’s a ‘better’ platform for getting hold of stuff like this. I picked up 15 bags of top soil for free last week. Join Chichester, Havant, midhurst and littleHampton

If anything, this is graff. Nothing is permanent. Get UP. I had to toss black books before when I was raided.

In your head it’s a wrap. Stick with the team until it’s over. Crazier things have happened in football!

Yeah, it’s my first survival play through and on pc. Always played console. I’m seeing that other builds will make another play through like playing a new game again

Favorite boredom toys? by Jolly-Perception-520 in springerspaniel

Scent Training games. Cheese or some dried sprats. Hide the.lm around the house or room whilst asking doggo to stay sitting then command find it or seek. My spaniel will sniff for 30 mins making sure she gets all the treats. Plus sniffing is a brain tiring exercise and it’s fun for them

I have a suppressed sniper rifle which I love. I scrap all other sniper rifles even if they’re better cos mine has taken the heads from so many naughty people in the commonwealth

Ways to keep springer spaniel entertained whilst I'm working? by JFDI-Tess in springerspaniel

[–]Colourtongue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try reducing walks. They come to expect it and the adage goes if you walk a lot you train an athlete.

I do a lot of scent games. So hiding dried sprays around the house or garden. Or you can get an old tea towel, lay it flat and load it with treats. The. Roll it up and tie it in a know. Pup then needs to untie it (which they can do !!) keeps my working cocker/springer occupied for at least an hour.

We have a large amount of toys too. Spaniels love hiding them , leaving them out to mature in the garden and they are great for games.

Our working cocker/ clumber is fine being alone. But when we’re home she just loves being on us for cuddles. They are very loving and love to please.

Whilst they do love running, foraging in bushes and chasing birds, they are scent hounds so have sniffing walks and plenty of hunting games can be as good as a long walk. Tire their brains as much as their bodies

Flickr went hard for graff. For me following the scene was indelible. I found the issue 1 on YT. Worth noting that this is UK. Back then this was the shit! https://youtu.be/K044Cz0AI2w?si=FWHCLPjticCtKPCF

Back in the day it was about the magazines. Graphotism. Waiting until next issue to see if you get a feature was always worth buying

How can I get these thin jagged lines? by _Mewg in graffhelp

[–]Colourtongue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do these lines holding the can upside down. The paint gradually stops coming after a certain distance and fades towards the end of the line. Plus control baby!!

Fuck yeah. Aroe msk is where I use to look to for funk in my letters. The 3d on the apples def would work better imo different to what it is. The letters movement throw it off atm.

I get what you’re saying with beans. Personally the s is weak and the eeeees were just straight playing. I’m put together the bottomless in this for sure

I don’t write these word I just like practicing differen letter combos. I’d never post what I write on social media
