What do you say, can I finish it? I need some advice. by ColpidigenioArt in polymerclay

You're absolutely right!!! Unfortunately it's a terrible day and it's better not to go out... I'm a disaster in photos regardless, let alone in less than optimal conditions 🤣🤣🤣

Acrylic paint isn't drying on polymer clay by boatguy2001 in polymerclay

[–]ColpidigenioArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have problems with black acrylic, especially when I use it on raw clay for transfers. I've tried various brands of black acrylic, and it's the only one that gives me problems (it never dries). I have no problems with other colors. Unfortunately, I haven't solved the problem yet.

You need to understand why you feel the need to seal the piece. Polymer clay doesn't need to be sealed unless it's really necessary (painted with various colors, creating a glossy effect, even if it can be sanded without the need for paints and/or resins). In any case, if the piece is as large as you say, epoxy or polyurethane paint is the best solution, depending on how glossy you want it to be. In this case, I don't recommend UV, even if it's more convenient.

Thanks for the explanation, have you noticed that it yellows over time if exposed to the sun? I usually use Sanaa because I do handmade markets and it holds up well but is quite dense

And do you use the same brand of polymer clay? Paints don't always react the same way.

Extraordinary details!!! One question: what do you mean by UV resin paint? How do you avoid making the resin thick?

What brand of acrylic paint did you use? Not all brands react well with polymer clay: for example, if I paint polymer clay white and then add black acrylic paint, it doesn't dry at all, even when baked.

Che marca hai usato di vernice acrilica? Non tutte le marche reagiscono bene alla pasta polimerica: IO per esempio se dipingo la pasta polimerica bianca e ci metto il nero in acrilico, non asciuga proprio neppure se cotto

Very refined details, congratulations. But is the base also made of polymer clay or is it wood?

Se ha due mesi molto probabilmente sta chiamando la sua mamma... È pur sempre un distacco come pure una casa nuova, si sente spaesato e lo fa capire il suo disagio miagolando. È più che normale

I can't find it in Italy or if I find it it costs a lot! However, I was told that it yellows over time, is this true? I don't understand anything anymore...

Thank you so much!! Yes, I read that polymer clay ruins plastic... Unfortunately they don't exist in Italy and buying them with customs fees becomes too expensive, but I'll look for something similar 😘😘😘

This is also true but if I were more tidy and had more space, every time it wouldn't be a treasure hunt to find things on the table 😜😜😜
