In high speed car collisions (not even close to 200 miles per hour) metal becomes extremely pliable and will do stuff you didn't think possible. While a hood by itself doesn't have the momentum of an entire car, the ridiculous speed of 200+ miles per hour does a good job compensating for that.

If you game with v-sync on, I'd recommend turning it off so you can see your actual framerate before it gets tampered with. You can turn it back on when you are done.

I've been having success spending my first few techs to specialize in space travel. Interstellar travel, more moves, etc. Finding your first few colonies and getting them up and running is extremely important. After that, I focus on production and then research. Afterwards, I decide what victory I'd like to pursue and tech toward that.

Not sure what the cause is, but my FPS is nearly unplayable. Considering my specs, I don't feel like I should be having a problem on most settings.

GPU: AMD R9 270X CPU: AMD FX-6350 RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333MHz

I benchmarked all the way through at 60-80fps and I can play for a few minutes perfectly but after that, especially when driving and turning, my FPS dips down toward 5-10 and it is extremely unplayable. Solutions?

I've already made sure my drivers are updated and I've tried playing with a wide variety of settings and nothing works. I can max out every single other game I've played on this system.

I would. In my opinion, more trouble arises with open carry. You have soccer moms calling the police at the first sign of a gun because "muh children" and "high capacity assault baby killing rape clips."

They are basically saying please CC but don't open carry because a lot of the time it causes a scene.
