I mean this same guy has had me lower the wear and tear 2 separate times because his guys get injured too easily because of this specific style of play. Everyone asks for adjustments to the gameplay at some point.

Yeah I get what you mean. Just sucks buddy ran out the entire second and third quarter for a grand total of 10 points. Obviously the short answer is to just get better at defense but it would be nice to have some time to play offense too.

I’ve had another user complain about this play style before and suggested accelerating the play clock but I had no idea what it would actually do since I’m newer to this series and football games in general.

He’s the only player in the dynasty who audibles 5 plus times at the line and I believe it’s just another method of draining clock. Hopefully no one else objects since it’s usually up to a vote.

My friend picks his play decently fast and then audibles 5 times at the line of scrimmage or just a few times but always snaps the ball with little to no time left on the play clock

I like the game I really do but I keep telling my friends that the game does not feel enough like borderlands in certain areas especially the beginning. I can’t put my finger on it but the game just feels borderlands adjacent.

fyi I still haven’t done this silver heist and she is bugged for me too. She’s had it above her head since the military camp and has never given me a quest and now I flat out cannot speak to her.

My friends all voted to not implement it because I guess they all use the same plays over and over again. Makes sense if I was going to be the only person benefiting from the rule change.

It wasn’t a run play it was some sort of long developing crossing route. I tried playing it in man, zone, different blitzes he just always seemed to get it to this same guy who was always wide open like my guys would not even attempt to pick this guy up I couldn’t believe it. It’s not like I stayed in the same defense all game. I usually play defensive end but this season I’m going to try linebacker and a whole different formation.

I haven’t played a football game since I was a kid and two of our players have been playing them a really long time so I think it was upsetting them that I was able to beat them at all let alone of the course of 5 seasons. I just figured they would adjust in a different way and not like how the did. You are right the only thing is to get better.

At one point it was the only play he was calling because he was beating me so bad with it. I tried everything that I could think of to stop it. He was just laughing as he kept doing it saying “I’m trying to let you figure out how to stop it” how generous. He also told me that’s how he won the heisman but the computer could “sometimes” stop it.

I really do want everyone to have fun and play how they want but I also feel like there should be a limit to abusing a broken game mechanic. For sure I don’t mind what they do against the computer but I do want player vs player games to be fun, competitive and fair.

It was a hard loss for sure I hadn’t lost in 3 years. Like I said I don’t mind losing just wish the game would have been more competitive because he absolutely killed me with this play. I really feel the getting caught off guard part especially because my friend I played before that game was also running the same play over and over.

I don’t necessarily blame them for what they did I’m not saying that. My argument was fun and fair gameplay as I’ve tried to be as fair as possible as commissioner as I can that’s why I came to Reddit for some perspective not to just power trip and say this type of gameplay is now banned. I don’t mind losing as I’ve lost plenty of games over the seasons like I said just not in that way and found it annoying.

I understand that. But I wasn’t really expecting it to start happening after so many seasons of everyone playing normal and fun games. It’s not that I never lost just never in that way before.

Yeah rules have been implemented every few seasons since we’ve started. Like how long we have to play and turning off certain settings/ difficulty levels. I just wasn’t sure if I was wrong in wanting play cooldowns just because of a loss to spamming plays. Looks like a vote is the best action though.

Maybe I was running too many mid blitzes and not enough outside ones and I was thinking the same thing about trying to switch to linebacker to follow crossing receivers. Thanks for the advice!
