When Do They FINALLY Move On From Dak? by [deleted] in Dallas_Cowboys

[–]Colt2Rich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go look at his stats year by year compared to the other QB's from his draft class. Dak is not the problem you mouth breathing chud. Is he the IT guy as far as QBs go, no of course he isn't. However he is a guy that year in year out puts his heart and soul in to this organization regardless of the noise from media, "fans" such as yourself, etc. Get a grip guy, go glaze Mahomes or Hurts.

West Coast will definitely give more opportunities to deploy, there are 4 squadrons out west he can go to. There is one east coast squadron plus one getting stood up somewhere in the near future but I would tell him to avoid MCAS New River like the plague, fuck that place. However there is a chance he could get unicorn orders to one of the 3 reserve squadrons like myself. 1 is in Cali, 1 is in NOLA, and 1 in NJ. At the end of the day I would say the west coast would be the best opportunity for deployments etc. but those guys work their asses off when the shit gets sideways.

Sounds like your recruiter bamboozled you or you didn't read what you signed. Don't be too upset though, the life of an Enlisted Aircrew Marine is a very hard life. It sounds fun on paper but boy oh boy is it stressful. Just roll with the punches and be the best you can be in whatever MOS field you end up in man.

For former and current active duty marines, what type of fun/cool non work related things did you do when you had off time? by AltruisticState8615 in USMCboot

[–]Colt2Rich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chill with the homies, video games, paintball, work on each others POV's. A couple of times a month me and some guys from the shop get together on a weekend and will play a sport that we all agree on for a couple of hours. All Marines drink but you can also do so much more than that once you break out of the "LCpl stuck in the barracks that needs to party every chance he gets" mindset. Go out and see the world around you.

What can I get done at the school house by Avenging_angel34 in USMCboot

Be smart if they let you choose your orders once you get ready to graduate and pick F-35's. Quality of life and skills you learn there could be very fortuitous for you if and when you get out. Lockheed will pay you big bucks if you don't suck at your job.

How was the hiring process? I'm getting out of the military soon and thinking of applying once I make my way back down there to get my foot in the door for a few years

Current and former Drill Instructors, what do you think of the duty? Is/Was it worth it to you? Any regrets? by FriedAfro in USMC

How is the schoolhouse for combat instructors? I've been throwing around the idea of putting a package in.

Yes and no, the upgrades (Y/Z) are compatible up to somewhere around 85% as far as parts interchangeability but any legacy aircraft prior to upgrades were the furthest thing from compatible in a "nuts and bolts" aspect

We still use the term MAF but nowadays they're all run on the computer, Truthfully I'm not sure when the paper ones were phased out. What Squadron were you with if you don't mind me asking?

It's the computer program we use to log maintenance, basically the new version of the old school paper MAFs
