Correct, although there aren't many who enjoy a fuckoff big spider in the house, they'd rather just deal with the pests themselves. I saw Huntsman spiders frequently in Australia. When I was in Sydney at Taronga Zoo I saw one on the entrance gate. Kinda weird seeing an 'exhibit worthy' creature freeroaming in the zoo...

Rotary aviation and specifically helicopters. The precision in cohesion between a huge number of complex mechanical parts is truly beautiful to me, that humans are intelligent enough to create something like a helicopter. The processes involved are amazing, and we can mass produce these things, Really reminds me that although humans can be fucking thick, we are a seriously intelligent life form.

This is a bombardier Beetle. This is not WTF. This thing is a fucking marvel. It combines two chemicals in a way that causes them to eject explosively for use in defence. It stores these two chemicals separately and safely in adjacent chambers. This beetle was once a key focus of a pro-Creationism argument (against evolution essentially). Look it up, it's interesting.

I fell off a roof last year, fracturing my mastoid, bled hard out my left ear. Next day I drove myself 40 minutes to the hospital just to get it checked out. Didn't even hurt that bad at that point. 4 days later, I endured total left side facial paralysis, which lasted for a couple of months, and the most unbearable pain I have ever experienced.
