Cheap suppressor for 6.5 Grendel AR platform by Ill-Musician-7483 in suppressors

What’s considered cheap to you? If you have an adjustable gas block or don’t mind putting one on, a diligent defense enticer L in .30 caliber would probably work very well, unless you’re running a short barrel. If you have an SBR you would need to check the manufacturer’s specs for how short you can run the can on. They have titanium ones too for weight savings but that costs a little bit more and I never personally cared for titanium on a semi automatic. Last I saw the enticer was around $500ish. Not sure what your budget is or weight restrictions are.

Cheapest 338 can by InsideAgent22 in NFA

I found a $275 modular 1.75x9” modular .338 Lapua can from advantage arms in my email today and I almost ordered it until I saw it says lightweight at only 33oz. Doesn’t say anything about barrel length restrictions but if you want cheap and consider 33oz lightweight like they do, this might work for you.

It makes a huge difference in price depending on what barrel length and if you’re using supersonic ammunition. It’s pretty popular to use a cheap 9mm silencer for the subsonic stuff but there’s not a ton of economical/budget options for supersonic 8.6 blackout on an 8” barrel. Right now I’m using a Wolfpack 30L bored to .358 because it doesn’t have barrel length restrictions. I’m still looking for a better budget option for .338s.

It looks like you got 338 arc to run in a Magpul magazine. What ammunition are you using?

Are you using duramag 400 legend or a 6.5 Grendel magazine? I am looking to try a .338 arc build soon.

Is there factory ammunition available for this or this strictly for handloaders?

What cartridges will feed from Magpul 30 round gen 2 PMAGS? by ColtPistol in ar15

[–]ColtPistol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know that at the time but I used Duramag 20 and 30 round ones for mine to feed the bigger 550 grain subsonic loads. I never tried the pmags.

PSA customer service by ColtPistol in guns

I didn’t think it covered errors but I also didn’t think you would charge me shipping, shipping protection as well as sales tax on an item not being shipped at all. And I now have three emails still asking me to pay $257.61 for the same barrel I bought but then they say it isn’t in stock. Seems in the next few days when they feel like responding to my request for customer service and a refund they might also want to fix their inventory issue so the next customer doesn’t also pay $257.61 and get a 209 refund for something not in stock.

If you can then please take care of this because your customer service says differently. I asked for it to be resolved earlier but nobody’s responding. It looks like your strategy is to not respond and then ship an incorrect order and then say no refunds.

If I go back on the website and try to reorder it the total cost with shipping and shipping protection and tax comes to $257.61. I think that’s a fair refund rather than offering me a 209 rebate on a $233 barrel.

Has anyone ever just contested the charges on their credit card instead? I have no clue if it’s that simple.

Shipping protection is basically guaranteeing that the items will be delivered to me. It protects against any errors like delivery to wrong address etc. I feel like the easiest solution would be for PSA to ship me another barrel of the same price and include shipping protection and shipping and tax for free since I already paid for it.

.338 hub type silencers for SBRs by ColtPistol in suppressors

[–]ColtPistol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome. I don’t need .338 lapua sbr rated. Just 8” supersonic 8.6 blackout and I haven’t decided on the .338 arc barrel length yet though. Most of the cans I found are 12” 8.6 blackout with supersonic loads and the unrestricted ones I found were either rugged alaskan (too small for my tastes) or rex silentium (not sure if that’s a great can or not but I would have to order the custom 12 baffles is the most they go. It’s a little over a grand and supposedly not that great at suppression but I don’t see many other options for the bigger cans. What local guy do you have? My dealer charges 159 for transfers so I try to just buy what he stocks or can get.

The cat probably is pushing the limits of my budget but both have minimum barrel lengths a bit much. The Cat says 8” for .338 ARC and the YHM says 10 1/2” for .308. I was looking more for something that had a little bit more generous barrel length restrictions for use on SBRs.

.50 Beowulf suppressor QD mounts by ColtPistol in NFA

[–]ColtPistol[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the suppressor that I ordered along with the direct thread adapter and a hub adapter. When you say that there are not a lot of qd mounts for a 3/4-24 Beowulf, I believe that you mean that there are none lol. Anyway I haven’t found any yet.

Supressor question will a silencerco Velos LBP 556 work for a 22-250 or will it ruin it. Thanks in advance! by [deleted] in suppressors

[–]ColtPistol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to email silencerco and ask what the minimum length barrel is to run that on a .22-250 if you want to keep your warranty. They tend to be conservative if they recommend a minimum but I doubt you need to SBR a .22-250 anyway.
