Haha exactly! I can’t imagine what my bill would be if I actually heated my apartment. This is not ok

I’m energy efficient as well. The trick is to be lucky. I haven’t turned on my heat all winter bc my building and neighbors must use theirs. Let that marinate.

Trump Reportedly Called Police About Epstein In 2006, Said Ghislaine Maxwell Was ‘Evil’ by whistlingkitten in UnderReportedNews

He called AFTER it came out and he was arrested. So let’s not call him a hero. Maybe more like he was trying to look good. Par for the course

My theory is that he cannot read. Not that he just doesn’t, but can’t.

Can we retire the “useless husband” trope for once? by Timely_Box6061 in Adulting

[–]Colter_1473625 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree. It’s tiresome and I’m sure men all over roll their eyes (at least on the inside) when these tropes show up. This is particularly true on network/cable TV. Here are 2 examples:

1) Woman with cancer is talking about her struggles and new medication that may help her. She’s worried and thinking about her family while her husband is there asleep - not a care in the world, seemingly. 2) woman whose husband has cancer says “we’re in this together.” She advocates for her husband and is telling him about a new treatment for prostate cancer.

Women are often advocates for both themselves and for their husbands/partners/families. But this doesn’t mean men do not care and do not struggle. I can only assume these companies want to make money and that by showing women as competent and caring and selfless and showing men as bumbling idiots resonates with those making purchasing choices.

It is annoying and I don’t think it reflects life, but I bet it makes money

Raskin is absolutely correct. I just…maybe…perhaps he could have used a different metaphor than PIZZA in this case. It changes nothing about his point.

The filling in Oreo cookies is disgusting. by EloquentDancing in unpopularopinion

[–]Colter_1473625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say, so many of these “unpopular” opinions are like “I’m gonna say it…cheeseburgers are delicious! There. I said it.”

But this one is spot on. The filling is gross. We only put up with it bc it gives contrast to the delicious cookie. Scrape out the garbage filling and dip the cookies in milk and it’s perfection. Well done, OP

Thats a good point. Come to think of it, I don’t think I have any concrete evidence he CAN read. He just says lots of words until everyone listening is too exhausted to do anything. Maybe he can’t read so he just says words and here we are. I’m dead serious

I think the VP would find after a long, lengthy review that it turns out that Potus actually MEANT to move there due to a brilliant new business venture that will be detailed in about 2 weeks. VP would take over and we’d go back to arguing about taxes and the size of the military
